We did exactly that, Joyce, Mike, and Jonathan telling Will stories about their lives together while Dad pressed the button to the radio in the pattern that Will was tapping out on the side of his chair. I was suddenly very thankful that Dad had taught Eleven and I Morse code...I really hope she's ok.

"Dash, dot, dash, dot." Dustin said, writing it down.

"C." I translated.

"Dot, Dash, Dot, Dot."

"L."

"Dash, Dash, Dash." I bit my lip, thinking about it for a second.

"That's...O, I think."

"You think or you know?" Dustin asked. I narrowed my eyes at him. "O, ok, its O, I trust you, I'm sorry." The radio began blinking again. "Dot, dot, dot?"

"S."

"Dot."

"E. Ok, so we've got 'Close'." I reported, looking at the notepad cardboard that Nancy had been writing the letters on in red crayon.

"Dash, Dash, Dot. Dot, Dash. Dash."

"Are those separate?"

"Yeah, I think so. Dash, Dash, dot. Then Dot, Dash. Then Dash."

"Ok, G-A-T." Lucas scribbled it down hurriedly.

"Dot." Dustin said, as the radio stopped beeping. My eyes widened as the statement clicked in my head.

"What is it?" Lucas asked.

"E." I said. I took the crayon from him, writing down the letter and holding up the board to look at it. Everyone else crowded around me.

"Close gate." We said together. Suddenly the phone rang, and we all jumped.

"Crap, crap!" Dustin and Nancy ran over and Dustin picked the phone up, hanging it up again. Will would have heard that, and if he did he might know where we are and send the Demo-Dogs after us. It rang again, and Dustin reached up to pick it up, but Nancy charged forward at the same time, yanking it off the wall and throwing it across the room.

"Do you think he heard that?" Max asked.

"Its just a phone. It could be anywhere. Right?" Steve suggested. I shook my head, tightening my ponytail.

"Somehow I doubt that." I answered. "This thing is highly intelligent. It knows where we are, I'm positive."

Just as the words left my lips, we could hear the screeching of Demo-Dogs in the distance.

"That's not good." Dustin noted. The others came running inside, carrying a once again unconscious Will as we al gathered in the living room. Dad came in wielding two rifles, one that he stole from the Lab and another that he probably found out back.

"Hey. Hey, get away from the windows!" He told the kids. They ran to the back of the room and Dad held up the rifle, turning to look at Jonathan. "Do you know how to use this?"

"What?"

"Can you use this?"

"I can." Nancy said. He tossed it to her and she cocked it, looking like a complete boss. Steve and I fell in between Nancy and Dad, Steve with his bat at the ready and me with my Ax in hand as the kids gathered behind us. Lucas was armed with his wrist rocket and Mike had a lamp.

"Where are they?" Joyce asked, as the screeching grew closer. "Where are they?!" A sound echoed through the window to our right and the whole group turned to face it in unison.

"What are they doing?" Nancy asked. The bushes outside of the window rattled and the sound moved in front of us again, and we all turned towards it once more, ready for anything. The monsters let out a menacing screech, but the screech morphed, causing me to furrow my eyebrows in confusion. Suddenly the Demo-dogs were making the same noise that the one had made when I chopped its leg off. It wasn't a menacing screech, it was a screech of pain.
