Chapter 2: Be Happy

2nd person pov

It had been a very long battle for the Red team today. After they're victorious battle, they went to celebrate it..like always, Demo got the beer and Scout said he'd get fried chicken, which the team thought was weird but just shrugged it off..The team can celebrate for as long as they know it, they'd usually get headaches in the morning and Medic usually just yell at them for drinking too much, then an argument would happen.

Though the next day everyone would be as busy as they know it. Medic would have a whole bunch of paperwork, Scout would be running laps, Engineer would fix and invent new things, Soldier would be punching dummies or something, as long as it's part of training, Heavy would be cleaning his weapons, Sniper would be target practicing, Pyro...well Pyro?...he is off to who knows what, Demoman is not busy but drunk, and Spy would be cleaning his knifes. Another ceasefire week and it was boring, the team would not spend most of the day together but most of the night playing cards, which either Engineer or Sniper would win.

Today was one of those days where the team would be in a room together with nothing to do. Engie and Medic decided to kill time by fixing the teleporter because it stopped working last battle. The rest were doing...whatever is normal..Scout tossing his baseball, Heavy eating a sandwich, Pyro playing with his paper drawings, Spy was smoking, Sniper drinking his coffee, Demo was sober.. and was sharpening his sword, and Soldier was watching Engie and Medic work while he held his rocket launcher next to him.

Everyone was minding their own business when... Engie might have tightened the wrong screw. The teleporter was then turned on for testing. The first few seconds where normal until..a lighting like thing came out and grabbed the person closest to it "DOKTOR" yelled Heavy as Medic let out screams trying to get away, which didn't work. Heavy ran over to grab the Medic's arm. Spy tried running away, Scout dropped his baseball and hit the wall behind him "Holy shit!" He cursed. Engie was going to get away when, he too was pulled over and disappeared. Next was Pyro, who let out muffled crys. Then Medic, Heavy, Scout, Sniper, Soldier, Demo, and Spy. They couldn't get away but all let out screams of terror, they sounded more scared than being in a battle.

Tiny Time Skip

The mercenaries woke up in a forest, they looked around and seemed to tense up when they didn't know where they were. Just then, the sound of a guitar started playing, stardling the men. They got up and looked at their surroundings, it was just forest, walking around to where the music was coming from they stop in their tracks when they saw a beautiful girl sitting on a tree near by, she wore a black shirt with a dress shirt that was not buttoned, blue jean shorts, she also had on some sneakers. The men didn't seem to notice that they were lost in her beauty. Though it soon broke

"Sometimes I don't wanna be happy" her voice was soft and angelic too "don't hold it against me. If I'm down just leave me there, let me be sad" the men watched as she sang, but made sure she didn't notice or see them "Suns up, I already wanna lay down" she looked at the guitar she was playing "Friends callin', I ain't really tryna go out" she smiled "Don't wanna get dressed up to pretend. I could lie and say I'm fine, maybe you'll stop calling then."

"I've got chips on my shoulder
Only getting older
So I keep to myself
Ain't tryna complain
Just don't wanna explain it" a dog then appeared as it ran over to the girl who was playing her guitar "Bad days, it's okay, let me feel it

But that wouldn't change anything" she looked at her dog as it circled around her happily

Let me be sad" her dog cheered happily "What's the matter with that?

you finished your song, it was written by Dixie D'Amelio. Your dog came running over to you and you smiled widely and started petting him. He let our barks of happiness, but that was soon changed when he turned to a tree near by and started barking at it. The mercenaries tried hiding In the bushes or behind the tree, except for Spy who cloaked himself, which was a stupid idea.

"What's wrong?" You asked looking down at your dog that seemed to not be happy, he was very protective of you so if there was something he didn't know or like- you could say he would not be happy. All of a sudden your dog ran straight ahead "(D/n) wait!" He jump on something and let out a bark, Spy fell backwards with a scream as he was no longer cloaked and was now visible "uh-" you took a step forward "(D/n) get off that man please" your dog obeyed and ran back to you.

Spy got up on his feet and his teammates then appeared in front of you. Your eyes then widened as you let out a squeak of fear, your dog let out barks and growls. The mercenaries went eye wide and looked at you in pure shock and you then got on your knees picked up your dog then ran to your house, getting inside as quickly as you could, you slammed the door closed and locked it. You were shaking in fear since you've never seen anyone at the forest but yourself.
