Daffodils smells so good and I wish I could stuff them in my nose and sniff them all day.

At least it would be better than being stuck in a room full of desperate ladies.

"Lady bell"

Must we hang together, Even my yummy chocolate gives better company.

"Lady bell"

Drinking tea sucks, I even had more fun drinking whiskey.

"Lady bell!"

"What!" I exclaimed turning to meet eight pairs of eyes.

"Umm..I mean how may I help you" I paled with embarrassment.

One of the ladies giggled "Lady bell is probably thinking about a fine gentleman.

Gentlemen whiskey.

Fair enough

The other ladies giggled. We had all been divided in groups, so far I had counted eight groups scattered round the court.

Getting to know each other they had said but it's actually about gossiping about each other.

"We are talking about that Ireland princess" A Lady provided.

"And their uncultured etiquette manners" A Lady grasp.

"The Princess is so full of herself" Another Lady chimed

"What do you think Lady bell"

What the hell do I know about Ireland etiquette.

"She's beautiful"

"Tssh..take away those fine linen from her, she could pass for a maid" Lady A exclaimed.

I only raised my eyebrows as various opinions pass.

"did you see how prince Gavin was looking at her" Lady B said

Was he

"I heard they are betrothed and the season was just for show" Lady A commented

My eye widen, I had to blink continuously so no one will notice.

There was silence for some seconds.

"Lady Betty Emerald green gowns were rented" another Lady breaks the silence and the ladies all join in for another round of gossip.

I wanted to ask about the princess
Is she really betrothed to Gavin
Are they lovers
Was that why she's so familiar with his family.

I excused myself....Tea won't calm me down.

Perhaps a bar of chocolate will

Maybe some bouquet of Daffodils

Mayhap four cups of whiskey...that would knock me out.

"Are you okay bell" Agatha asked when I began to walk back to the suite.

I nodded and meet Maria calming gaze.

"They are not betrothed" Agatha whispered

"How would you know" I asked wearily

"You won't have received any invitation from him" Maria provided

My footstep flattered. Maria had said little and avoided issues concerning the previous ball, she didn't tell me about her encounter with sir James and I won't ask.

"Aye" Agatha said

"Why are you telling me" I faced Agatha with my eyebrows knitted together. She only shrugged.
