Briar mind drifted at dinner, she still had the mystery of Prince's Disguise to solve and on top of that her destiny! She barely ate anything, nor said anything. King Phillip (Briar's dad, who was formerly the prince) asked his daughter what was troubling her.
Briar replied, "It's...well..-sighs-...I'm afraid of my destiny. I don't know how I can live if everyone I cared for is gone! I don't even know how you went through it, mom! And the guilt of passing that on to my future children!"
Queen Aurora (also known as Sleeping Beauty) got up and hugged her daughter, "We'll talk about this later, but always remember that we are here. We are ALL here for you."
Briar's brothers and King Phillip joined Briar in the family hug, deep down this just made Briar sadder knowing that she'll sleep and lose them. On the outside she smiled.
After dinner, Briar took a relaxing shower. Her phone pinged , the notification was once again from Prince's Disguise. The hext was:
Prince's Disguise: Hello
Briar replied:
Briar: Hi? Who are you?
Prince's Disguise: To be honest, I don't really know anymore. I'm rapidly changing.
Briar: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that.
Prince's Disguise: It's nothing.
After 5 whole minutes, there wasn't anymore more hext. She put on her pale pink night gown and went to bed. When Briar woke up her castle shaped alarm closk read, 1:27 P.M. Briar always missed breakfast AND brunch AND lunch because of her curse. Chefs would cook a meal just for her and her mother. Her mother still slept a lot, so she had company. Her handmaids knocked on the door gently. "Excuse me, Princess Briar are you awake?" asked Lucy, her hair stylist.
"Yes," said Briar, "Give me 10 minutes."
Anna, her makeup stylist said, "As you wish, princess."
Briar got up, brushed her teeth and hair in her own personal bathroom. Shining white tiles and wall paper with magenta accessories. She put on her silky, mint green robe with her family crest sewn on the side and opened the door. Lucy and Anna curtsied at Briar and asked how she was feeling.
Briar said she felt energectic and plopped down on her magenta stool next to her white vanity. Anna opened Briar's makeup bag and took out some lip gloss. Briar usually never put on makeup at home, just some pale eyeshadow and lipgloss. While Anna chose some colors, Lucy combed Briar's hair again. Briar's hair was naturally curlly, but to make them more noticeable Lucy put magenta curlers into her hair. After they curled, Lucy put it into a ponytail. On top, Briar wore silver tiara like sunglasses. Anna put on pale pink eyeshadow for Briar and peachy lip gloss. The two ladies left and Briar went to her large closet. She chose a black skirt with pink rose outlines and a sparkly hot pink top. She matched that with fishnet leggings and silver heeled boots. For her jewelery, she wore a twisted rose bracelet and silver choker with 3 fairies decorations. The 3 fairies represented: Flora, Fauna and Merriweather. The fairies that helped her mother. As she was on her way out the door her phone rang. It was Ashlynn Ella, daughter of Cinderella.
Ashlynn: Hey Briar! You awake yet?
Briar: Yeah, good afternoon. What's up?
Ashlynn: I really need to talk to you, it's URGENT!
Briar: Are you alright???
Ashlynn: I don't know.
Briar: Okay, meet at the Beanstalk Bakery, at 3?
Ashlynn: That's good, see you then. And thank you.
Briar was getting worried. These unhexpected hexts were definitely scaring her.
