As much as a i dont think its reasonable to act like a creator was being rude by giving a straight forward answer to a question about his intentions with a character, watching stuff like this happen im always just

People wouldnt have this entitled desperation to be told their headcanon is valid- even when that wasnt actually what was being discussed- if they were given some actual trans characters for once. The internet is already full of people unhealthily clinging to cartoon characters and while that can lead to some shitty or braindead things being said its wrong to act like its their fault

I've been trying to articulate why such a response to a simple 'no' rubbed me the wrong way so much and i think thats it. Its insecurity but its insecurity born from having nothing but table scraps and being terrified of losing even that. Its kind of like when meg gets a tissue out of the bin to shred up and tenses when we walk past her. Shes not got anything of value really but shes just happy to have anything at all that people just going about their ordinary lives can been seen as a threat

Its not a good environment to be in but you dont solve it by tiptoeing around in your own house you solve it by getting her some real toys so she doesnt NEED to shred tissues
