Chapter 4

Liz looks at her phone and lays on her bed. She wants to call Brandon and ask him but she's afraid of his answer. *woosh* she jumps and looks behind her.
Luke: your sister kicked us out of her room.
Liz: oh um okay? What am I supposed to do?
She was on the verge of tears but didn't want anyone to know her pain and she was good at hiding it. She looked at the boys and smiled.
Luke: if you want us to leave we'll go.
Liz: I don't want to be mean but right nows not the best time to be with people for me.
Alex: are you okay?
Reggie: you seem sad.
Liz: boy problems.
Alex: I feel ya!
Liz looks at Alex and laughs. Alex blushes.
Liz: anyways boys privacy please!
Luke: yea okay bye (leaves)
Alex: if you need someone to talk to I'm here.
Reggie: good luck (leaves)
Liz: thank you Alex
Alex: no problem (leaves)
Liz goes downstairs and finds her dad.
Liz: dad?
Dad: yea
Liz: can I go to Angela's house?
Dad: yea be home later.
Liz leaves out the door and walks to Angela's house. She knocks on the door and Angela opens it. She pulls Liz into a tight hug.
Ángela: your late honey.
Liz: lala your lucky I came I didn't wanna leave my room.
Angela: what are you gonna do about Justin?
Liz: I don't know he's probably gonna break up with me for Sherri. So it doesn't matter.
Angela: how are you so cool with this?!
Liz: I knew he was gonna figure I was a loser and leave me for someone popular.
Ángela: you might be a loser but your way more real then the sisters!
Liz: but I'm not prettier so it doesn't matter.
Ángela: yes you are Liz.
Liz: I gotta go it's getting late. (Leaves)
Liz gets home and goes to the garage. Nobody was there. She sat down and started playing the piano then started singing (on top)
As she was singing. *woosh* She ignored it and let all her feelings out with the song. (Ends)
Alex: you sound really hurt...
Liz: (yells) ahh ok you need to stop poofing into places without knocking or something.
Alex: I can't really knock but okay.
Liz: I should go.
Alex: are you okay?
Liz: no not at all.
Alex: sit down and talk to me about it.
Liz: I don't know Alex...
Alex: please it would make me feel alive?.
Liz: okay. So I've been with this boy for 5 months. He was the only one that was there for me when my mom died. He told me he loved me and I love him too but it's hitting me harder that my moms gone. I'm doing the play me and my best friend wrote with my mom and I can't do it.
Alex: what's the play about?
Liz: It's like Romeo and Juliet. But the guy lies that he's in love with the girl. It's a musical.
Alex: it sounds fun.
Liz: I wouldn't know I got kicked off set.
Alex: what why?!
Liz: because I couldn't do it they wanted me to play my part and I couldn't because me and my best friend wrote it about me.
Alex: so what's the summary of the story.
Liz: a girl who is insecure named Ella is in high school. She isn't popular. She meets this guy named James. She shows him all her trust and starts to fall in love. James is a popular jock but little does Ella know she's being played. James does all this stuff with her as a stunt because his team bet that he couldn't get her to fall in love with him. Her mom finds out and forbids her from seeing him but she doesn't know yet her mom was just protecting her.
Alex: it's so interesting.
Liz: she runs away in the ending.
Alex: wow is that how you feel?
Liz: only all the time. I live in my sisters shadow. Most people don't even know I can sing.
Alex: well I know and I'm rooting for you.
Liz: thanks Alex um it's late I should go to bed.
Alex: okay goodnight Liz
Liz: goodnight Alex thank you (Leaves)

Liz gets ready for bed but goes downstairs to the kitchen for a glass of water.
Liz: ah! I'm never gonna get used to that.
She found Luke in front of the fridge and it's door was open. He was looking at the food. She walks over to him and looks him in the eyes.
Liz: do you guys even eat?
Luke shakes his head no with disappointment.
Luke: I just wanna see whatcha got.
Liz closes the fridge door and walks away.
Luke: hey you know how long it look me to open that?!
Liz: sorry I don't believe in waisting power.
Luke: good because that's actually what I wanted to talk to you about.
Liz: our power usage?
Luke: no the power that you have.
Liz: what are you talking about?
Luke: I've heard you sing. Your amazing.
Liz: yea well I'd like to keep it to myself.
Luke: why don't you join music class like your sister.
Liz: because that's her thing.
Luke: but your good at it to.
Liz: I can't she wouldn't be happy if I did.
Luke: would you?
Liz: what?
Luke: if you joined music would you be happy?
Liz: of course I love singing.
Luke: then it doesn't matter what she thinks.
Liz: I already take theater.
Luke: but you told us you have a free period!
Liz: she would be mad at me though Luke.
Luke: look at me Liz.
Luke stares into Elizabeth's eyes.
Liz: what?
Luke: this isn't her life it's yours so do what makes you happy. She's gonna have to understand.
Liz: the teacher would never let me join.
Luke: I gave her a pep talk earlier she is going to try again. You need to do it to.
Liz: look I had tried already. I don't even have anything to sing so your plan is going down.
Luke: here. It's called bright. You got a song!
Liz: thanks but are you sure about this?
Luke: your gonna kill it. I got you

I got you.....

Julie: wake up its time for school.
Liz: Julie I gotta talk to you...
Julie: what's up?
Liz: I'm signing up for music. I'm gonna perform during the rally.
Julie: but that's my thing!
Liz: it's mine to but you never stopped paying attention to yourself to realize that.
Julie: I guess. I got back in yesterday though.
Liz: well wish me luck.
Julie: what about the play?
Liz: I got kicked off.
Julie: was Justin mad?
Liz: he's more happy he gets to spend some alone time with sherry probably.
Julie: oh I'm sorry....
Liz: I guess he wasn't the one.

Ángela: pep rally time! You ready.
Liz: I can't do this!
Ángela: Sherri and Carrie are almost done!
Liz: I feel sick!
Ángela: look you got this okay your gonna do great out there. Push through it.
Liz: Lala?
Ángela: yea?
Liz: what if Julie hates me because of this.
Ángela: she's not gonna! You got this please don't give up now.
Liz: okay I'm ready.
The sisters are performing. *woosh*
Liz: what are you guys doing here?
Luke: we wanna see you stick it to the man! Isn't that right boys?
Reggie: man I miss high school.
The girls are still performing and Liz looks over to the boys and sees Alex dancing along. Luke grabs his shoulder and signals him to stop.
Liz: Luke I don't know if I can do this.
Luke: this is your chance to show them your just as good as your sister. You got this
Alex: you said it yourself your tired of being in her shadows.
Reggie: this is your chance to get out of them.
The girls stop and everyone cheers.
Sisters: thank you!
Girl: we love you guys
Sisters: oh we love you too

As everyone was leaving Liz rushes up to the stage and started playing the piano. She almost stopped but looked at Luke and sang.

Every one cheered and the boys disappeared.

Liz: Ms.Harrison I am sorry for not asking permission I just wanted to show you I belonged
Ms:h: as amazing as that was there are no more spots. I wish that I could help but my hands are tied honey. Audition next year?
Principal: mine aren't. And as much as u didn't approve of this little stunt I will not go down in history as the principal who didn't let you in.
Liz: thank you!
Principal: but when you win your first Grammy I want to be thanked
Liz: deal.
Ms.h: congrats (hugs)
Liz: thank you.

Liz is at home studying for her test when she gets a call from Justin.
Liz: hello?
Justin: hey...
Liz: babe I got into music class!
Justin: that's great...
Liz: is something wrong?
Justin: I kissed Sherri
Liz: oh (Holds tears) ok
Justin: I think we should see other people. Ima date her....
Liz: really?
Justin: it's not you it's me bye?
Hangs up
Liz starts crying into her pillow. *woosh*
Alex: hey what's wrong you should be happy.
Liz: he broke up with me for Sherri (cries)
Alex: Liz I'm so sorry *woosh*
Luke: I'm sorry. You did something great today don't let him get to you.
Reggie: it's okay don't cry.
Liz: can I have sometime alone guys.
Reggie: yea (leaves)
Alex: I'm here if anything. (Leaves)
Luke: hey you were really brave today I'm proud of you. I'm sorry he left, you don't deserve that at all. I'm sorry (leaves)

Liz gets out of bed and looks for Alex. She goes into the room and Luke and Reggie were there. No sign of Alex. Liz goes back into her room she starts reading a book. *Woosh*
Alex: Liz!
Liz: where were you!
Alex I met someone! His name is Willie!....
