Kelechi's POV

I woke up to a series of banging on my door.

"Wake up!!" Nneka screamed into my ear

"Are you alright?" I asked with sleepy eyes

"Today's Sunday get up and get dressed," Nneka said and left my room

I picked up my phone and went straight to WhatsApp. Everyone was saying goodbye to their houses, their PS4, good food.

My friend Elissa was already on her way to school, so was Kamara and Kasi and Tani, I guess they all went at the same time, seeing that they all live in Banana Island.

I got down from my bed and went into the shower. I got out and after applying various lotions and oils on my body, I got dressed.

My boxes had been taken down to the car already, so I just went down for breakfast.

"Where's mum?" I asked Nneka once I got downstairs

"She's in the car, hurry up mum said that there was a lot of traffic on the way to school," She said and left

"Fine" I sighed to myself and began eating my breakfast

5 minutes into my breakfast and Nneka came barging into the house

"Didn't you hear what I said there's a lot of traffic on the way!" She said

"Well what do you want me to do I'm still eating," I said with my mouth full

"GET YOUR ASS UP!" She screamed and I hurriedly ate a little more then ran out of the house.

Kamara's POV

We got to school safely and we were getting registered in. Now we are on our way to our hostels.

"Kamara, did you see Miguel?" Kasi asked as we rolled our boxes

"Yeah he looks very different, almost like his brother Xavier" I admitted

"Yes he's good looking but not up to Xavier's level," Kasi said

"Oh, I forgot about your undying obsession with him" I rolled my eyes "You know he's in university in Massachusetts, so just stop"

"Stop what, I'm over Xavier, who said I wasn't?" She said trying to do that thing where she brings back a reoccurring topic she wants to talk about but wouldn't admit it

"Okay," I said as we got to the front of our hostels.

"Hey! My children" Our housemother, Mrs. Grace screamed

"Just for show, such a suck-up" I hissed

"I know right, we'll be her children now but In like a week time, we'll be demons to her," Kasi said and I couldn't agree more.

"How have you all been, how was the summer break?" She asked smiling

"Good afternoon ma, it was nice," I said bluntly

"I'm sure it was you all look so beautiful, you can really see the enjoyment in your faces" She smiled again

"Erm... Mrs. Grace can we cut through the introduction and get my children checked in, I have a business meeting to attend" My mum said

I don't know who hates my housemother more, I and Kasi or my mum. The feud started since we were in JSS3 even though she wasn't our housemother then, she'd always make rude remarks towards us, and she was always biased whenever it came to us. When we got to SS1, a new hostel, new housemother, we met her. The feud continued there and then it went to my mum and my mum wasn't here for it. One event that really was a turn off for my mum, was when she accused me of stealing from her, I denied it because I didn't steal and so did my mum because she knew me and what I could do, and the rage of my mum not supporting Mrs. Grace was projected to my mum with cold words and insults, and trust me my mum gave it back to her 10 times more, it was then I knew why my mum always held her head up high.
