Ash's POV
"And the prize for the best GK prodigy 2019 goes to none other than, ASH KETCHUM." The anchor announced.
"AH!" I said while pulling myself up from the bed. I was taking deep breathes continuously. Crap, it's the 3rd time I am having this dream. I lift my head up and turn towards my table, where my trophy was kept. I checked my clock and it was 4:30 in the morning.
I got up of my bed and went towards my study table and hold my trophy.
'GK Prodigy 2019'
This was written on it. I guess, this achievement is very important to me. Well, this only made me to prove myself the best.
Well, I was not feeling sleepy more now. So, I just wore my trackpants and a sweatshirt and my sports shoes.
It was 4:45 right now. School was after 3 hours. My mom was still asleep. I just went out of my house for some jogging. For a quite few days, I just come out for jogging. It feels good as I go out and just roam around here and there. The light breeze of air touching my cheeks. And plus, thing is that yesterday night, rain happened. So, it's cooler now.
It's been half an hour I have been jogging. The newspaper sellers are out in the road now. They were now throwing newspapers directly into the people's house balcony. I guess, our colony have some good aim workers.
As I continued my walk, I saw Ms Jining opening her milkshake parlour.
"Morning Ms Jining!" I said.
"Oh, morning Ash! Up so early?" she asked.
"Yeah, wanted to be your first costumer of the day." I replied.
"Wow. Wait, for 2 minutes, I will bring you a great cup of vanilla milkshake." She said and went inside her parlour. I just sat outside the parlour and saw the sky. It was 6:30 am now. I guess, time passes so quickly nowadays.
"Here's your vanilla milkshake." Ms Jining said me while giving me a long glass of milkshake. Yeah, a perfect morning feast. She then started reading the newspaper. As she was reading, I continued to drink my beverage.
"Hey Ash, you're Central High School, right?" she asked.
"Yes, I am. Gary is also with me." I replied. Suddenly, a familiar voice came from behind.
"You talking about me?"
I turned my head and saw it was none other than my friend Gary.
"Sup Gary." I said.
"You woke earlier than me as always?" he asked.
"Yeah, my sleep broke before 5." I replied.
"Hmm, morning Ms Jining!" he greeted.
"Morning Gary. You want some milkshake?" she asked.
"Yeah sure. A full glass of banana milkshake please." He replied to which Ms Jining replied and went inside to get one.
"Hey Ash, you heard the news?" Gary asked.
"Um, what news?" I asked.
"Wait, you don't know? The Serena Yvonne is joining our school today." He replied. Wait, what? Serena Yvonne?
"What do you mean? Serena Yvonne? The female actress? From Hollywood?" I asked.
"Yes, she is the one. I can't believe." He replied.
"Don't be kidding me. What shall she do in our school?" I asked.
"She has some movie to do, so she will be attending the school for a while. The media says that she wanted to be into a character of the movie, so she wants to experience it once herself." Ms Jining replied while coming out of the parlour and giving the glass of milkshake to Gary.
"Hmm, that's interesting." I said.
"Just think Ash. A celebrity sitting in our class and then a guy like me being settled in her heart. So romantic." Gary said. Woah, that's too fast.
"Don't you have Dawn as your crush?" Ms Jining said while reading the newspaper. On hearing this, Gary cheeks rose up to dark red.
"How the hell you know this?" Gary asked.
"Everybody knows it Gary." I said while drinking my milkshake.
"What! You also know? Your psychic brat!" he said to which me and Ms Jining laugh a little. I then see my watch and the time was 7:15. HOLY SHIT!
"OH CRAP! I NEED TO GO!" I said while completing my milkshake with one go.
"OH SHIT. IT'S LATE! I ALSO NEED TO GO" Gary said while also completing his milkshake in a single go. We then ran out the parlour towards our home.
"THANK YOU, MS JINING! WILL PAY YOU IN THE EVENING!" We bot said in union. Ms Jining laughed a little and waved us.
"Kids..." she said.
