Willow:

    I don't understand why Boscha is so mean to me. It seems like ever since Amity threw me out years ago I suddenly became the dork of the school. Today Luz, Amity, and I fought Boscha's team in grudgby. We thought we won... but we didn't, but I definitely showed Boscha that I could play grudgby too. I know I don't need to be liked by everyone, but it makes me sad because I didn't do anything wrong to her. Whatever, Boscha will be Boscha.

Boscha:

    I made my way out of Hexside after saying bye to all of my friends. Being popular means constantly being socially drained. A lot happened today, and I just want to make it home without anyone talking about how Willow almost beat me in grudgby. I can't stand her sometimes. I worked so hard to be team captain, and I don't want her to take my place.

    Of course, the only person I can think of as I walk home is Willow. I don't know if it's because of what happened today or what. Lately, she's had this new confidence. And yes, it's cute... but it makes it so much harder to pick on her.

The next day...

Willow:

    As Gus and I are walking through the cold hallways of Hexside in the early morning, a voice comes over the speaker, "Good Morning students of Hexside. I am saddened to announce that Amity Blight and Luz Noceda have been reported missing by the Blight family, and well... you know how they can be. We are going to need two students to agree to go on a quest to find them. If you are close with these two, please come to Principal Bump's office immediately. You will be excused from class."

    Fear came over my face. I looked at Gus, he also looked panicked. I grabbed his arm and he tried to pull away. "Come on, Gus! We have to find them!"

    "Willow, I'm sorry. I have a really important speech today," Gus said while looking at the floor.

    "Can't you just get your illusion to cover for you?" I asked with exasperation.

    "I haven't taught him how to give speeches yet." I had no more time to fight with Gus, I let go of him and ran in the direction of the office.

    When I arrived I saw Principal Bump talking to someone around the corner. I couldn't see who it was so I walked closer. Oh my goodness, BOSCHA? What is SHE doing here?

    "Willow, is there something you need?" Principal Bump asked as he turned away from Boscha and over to me.

    "I want to help find my friends," I said.

    "Wonderful! You will go with Boscha." I'll go with WHO? Boscha looked over at me with a fake smile to show Principal Bump she was going to be "nice" to me today.

    Principal Bump gave us an idea of where Luz and Amity might be and then left to go back to work.

"So why do you want to help Luz and Amity?" I said.

"Well, Amity and I are still sorta friends so it's important I bring her back." Wow, Boscha might not be such a meanie after all. "Plus, I wanna get out of class today." Ok, there's the Boscha I know.

As we started walking towards the front doors of Hexside Boscha said, "Look, half-a-witch, can you please just be normal today? I didn't plan on going on this quest with you."

Anger and tears came over me, she knows I hate that nickname. "You know, I didn't exactly plan on spending this day with you either," I said as I started to hide my face.

She looked over at me and said, "Are you crying?"

"No!" I said as more tears started streaming down my face.

"Aww is little Willow already crying? At only 9 in the morning?" Boscha said in baby-talk. I decided I couldn't say anymore so we continued to walk, this time in silence.

Boscha:

Well, this is going to be an awkward quest. We just started and Willow's already crying. I keep asking myself, did I do that? I know I did but I can't imagine my words hurting someone that bad. Maybe she's just on edge because she's worried about her friends, which is kind of sweet I guess. I just wish she wouldn't show it so obviously.

After about an hour of Willow and I wandering through the woods I finally decide to speak, "Maybe we should stop by The Owl House and ask Eda if she knows where they might be?"

Willow wipes her face of tears and just says, "Okay."

I'm no softie but the way Willow's acting is making me feel bad... just a little. I look up at her in concern and say, "Hey." She looks at me but her expression doesn't change. Now seems like the right time for an apology. I know I should apologize but I don't know how. It's going to take me some time. I notice the slightest smile after a few seconds, and I feel relief.

Willow:

Boscha just looked at me and said, "Hey", and for once she seemed like she actually cared. I know that's not much, but for Boscha that "hey" meant the entire world... or at least the entire Boiling Isles.

We arrive at The Owl House, and Hooty greets us, "Hoot hoot, who are you?" He asks.

"Hooty, you know me, it's Willow!" I say in laughter.

Hooty continues, "Who's the mean-looking girl?" Boscha pinches her eyebrows together, it's kind of cute. "Oh! You're the girl we scared during the Moonlight Conjuring!" I blush and look away.

"That was YOU?" Boscha asks.

"Um... yes?" I say, a little scared.

I was expecting Boscha to get mad but she just replied with, "Nice, you had me good." I feel a smile come to my face.

She doesn't look away but starts talking to Hooty, "We need to see Eda." Suddenly Eda opens the door with King asleep on her hip, like a mother holding a toddler.

"Yes?" Says Eda.

"Hi Eda," I start, pointing my toes in. "Luz and Amity are missing, do you have any idea where they could be?"

"Missing? Last night Luz said she was sleeping over at your place!" My place?

"Um, she wasn't at my house last night, I haven't seen her since we played grudgby yesterday."

Then Hooty peered in between Eda and I and said in enthusiasm, "I saw Luz go towards the Mountains last night!"

"Hooty! Why on earth wouldn't you have told me that sooner!" Hooty goes back into hiding. "I need to go save her, again!"

Just then Boscha says, "Willow and I got this." She then winks with one of her eyes, not her third eye, but her right eye. I blush uncontrollably. Boscha's never made me blush in a positive way.

Eda raises her eyebrows, looks at Boscha, then at me, and says, "Fine." She then walks back inside with a sleeping King.
