im going to watch a movie where the main character goes insane and if by the third act I can still see myself in them, I'm calling the cops. I hope they throw me on the ground and crush my head against the pavement with a steel-toed crunch til there's gravel grinding up the skin on my cheek and mixing with the blood. it'd be easier to understand than love. easier to ask for than tenderness. skin on skin is skin on skin when it boils down to it. and I don't know the difference. I've been taught if someone really wants your heart they'll carve it out of your chest. and I've learned to flinch at softness. stop it: I think I want love. but I don't think this is it. if you care, why aren't I bleeding????
