Chapter 9: Mystery of the past

Raia: "Yeah do that. Fana, let's try and locate the remaining magic stones, time is not on our side."

Fana: "All right."

Fana and Raia then looked once more at their friend inside the container before exiting the room to find the other magic stones, it seemed like the eye of the midnight sun were already preparing for their next move.

GOLDEN DAWN HQ

It was already morning and most of the Golden Dawn members were already awake and waiting for an assignment. In the dining room, (Y/N) and Yuno were sitting at one of the tables having breakfast before going on their own mission. As Yuno ate his food in silence, he noticed that ever since they sat down at the table, (Y/N) had been thinking deeply about something and hadn't taken a single bite out of of his breakfast because of it.

Yuno: "(Y/N)."

(Y/N): "........."

Yuno: "(Y/N)."

(Y/N): "........"

Yep, (Y/N) was gone. Having no other choice, Yuno sighed internally before extending his arm and aiming at (Y/N), a small wave of wind escaping from his palm as the small bit of magic reached the (H/C) boy, pushing him back and making him fall from his seat. Yuno lowered his arma and casually started to eat once again as he heard a grunt coming from the floor.

(Y/N): *stands up* "Okay Yuno, whats the big idea?!" I exclaimed irritated.

Yuno: "I have no idea what you're talking about." The raven-haired boy said nonchalantly as he ate his food.

Yuno closed his eyes and smirked slightly as (Y/N)'s eyes twitched from annoyance. The (H/C) boy just sighed and picked up the chair and sat once again on the table, this time taking a bite out of his meal.

Yuno: "Why are you so distracted anyway?" He asked as he glanced back at (Y/N).

(Y/N): "I've just been trying to figure out ways to improve this fire ability I've unlocked. So far I have only a few spells, but I know there must be more waiting to be discovered."

Yuno: "Seriously.....you shouldn't be thinking too hard about something you still don't understand perfectly."

(Y/N): "I dont exactly have many options Yuno, I doubt anyone else would be able to teach me more about it."

Yuno: "Right."

The two brothers continued with their breakfast when they suddenly heard the doors slam open. Everyone currently in the dining hall turned to look at the doors and noticed that Alecdora had entered the room with Captain Vangeance at his side.

Alecdora: "Everyone, Lord Vangeance is back!" He exclaimed as everyone stood from their seat and saluted.

William: *smiles* "At ease, I'm just here to announce that we will be leaving for the royal capital in about an hour for an emergency meeting."

Yuno and I looked at each other before looking back at the captain. We knew that this meeting probably had something to do with the recent battle against the eye of the midnight sun in the town of Nairn.

William: "Finish what you have pending and join me in the main hall once you are ready."

Golden Dawn: "Yes Lord Vangeance!" We all saluted as the captain left the room.

(Y/N): "Well....looks like I'll have to postpone my plans of learning about my attribute for now." I laughed awkwardly.

Yuno: *chuckle* "Right. Anyway, I have some stuff to do, I'll see you later." He said as he stood up.
