"Jordan?"

"Uhm?"

"Wala ka bang gustong sabihin?" (Do you want to say something?) I asked.

But he didn't answer. He just kept on staring at me with a VERY serious face.

"Oy. Kanina mo pa ako tinititigan nang ganyan. Di ko alam kung anong iniisip mo. Kinakabahan na 'ko." (Hey. You've been looking at me like that for a while. I don't know what you're thinking. I'm getting tensed.) I replied.

I'm not guilty of any serious crime but why the hell am I sweating like this?! (Really? Not guilty? Is that your final answer?)

"Riley." he suddenly called.

"Oh?" I answered nervously.

"Ahhh...", he muttered.

I cleared my throat. What's he going to say now?

"Paano?" (How?)

"Huh? A-anong paano? Napano?" (Huh? What how? How is what?) I chuckled nervously.

"Paano ka nakakita ulit?" (How did you regain your sight?) He wondrously questioned.

I can't with his eyes.

"Ahh. Eye surgery. Hindi ko alam yung eksaktong ginawa sakin pero pagkatapos ng operasyon, di rin nagtagal, nakakakita na ako." (Ahh. Eye surgery. I didn't know what they exactly did to me but after the operation, shortly after, I just saw everything again.) I answered.

"Ahhhh. I see I see. Good for you." Jordan said. "At least hindi mo na kailangang magsuot ng glasses tulad ko." (At least you don't have to wear glasses like I do.) he added.

Somehow this conversation with him is frightening. The Jordan I know would be mad right now knowing what I've done.

So I bravely asked him about it.

"Jordan. Hindi ka ba ... galit sa'kin?" (Jordan. Aren't you... angry to me at all?) I asked.

"Galit? Ako? Bakit naman ako magagalit?" (Angry? Me? Why would I be angry?) He asked with an unnecessarily high pitched voice.

He wasn't even aware his voice is so high when he said that.

"Yung hindi man lang ako nagpaalam sa'yo no'n tsaka yung hindi ko pagsabi sa 'yo na babalik ako." (That time when I didn't let you know I was leaving and this time that I came back.) I said.

"Ahhh. Yon? Wala yun. Hindi naman big deal sa'kin yon." (Ahhh. That? It's fine. No big deal.) he answered.

I know those answers were a bit sarcastic. I just know it.

"Hindi ko naman sinasadyang..." (I didn't mean to...)

"Ahhh Ri. Nasaan na yung machiato ko? Umorder ako sa 'yo di ba? Huwag mo namang paghintayin yung customer mo." (Ahhh Ri. Where's my machiato? I ordered one right? Don't you know it makes you look bad when you make your customer wait?) he abruptly suggested.

He cut me.

He didn't want to hear what I wanted to say.

He's angry.

"Ooohh. Sige igagawa muna kita. Diyan ka muna mabilis lang 'to." (Ooohh. Ok I'll make you one then. Wait a sec, this is going to be fast.) I said trying to act normal around him as well.

I know I can't stand a chance against him playing this game.

A few minutes later...

"Here's your machiato." I said.
