Meeting the parents

After six months of them dating they decided to tell jade's mom first because she was the nicest of the four parents they'd have to eventually tell

"Mom" jade called running down the stairs after getting off the phone with beck

"Oh hi honey! I'm in the kitchen" Nancy west called. She looked like jade but didn't act like her very much. She got all her attitude from her father

"We're having company for dinner this Friday" she announced after finding her washing dishes at the sink

Her fave fell slightly confused"Oh are we, who?"

"My boyfriend beck"

"You have a boyfriend?! That's great, what's does he look like? Where did you meet him? How old is he?"

"You'll meet him on Friday" was all she said before turning on her heel to retreat back to her room

She had told her on Tuesday and now it was Friday. They decided to just go straight from school to her house since it was easiest

"Mom this is beck" she said as soon as they stepped into her house to Nancy who was waiting by the door

"Hi beck I'm Nancy nice to meet you" she introduced herself pulling beck into a hug

"It's a pleasure to meet you too" he said politely  after he pulled away

"He's so polite" Nancy said nudging jade in the arm

Beck smiled sheepishly and looked down. Jade just scowled "yeah yeah, whatever" we're going to my room well be down in two hours for dinner"

"Ok have fun! Just not too much fun" she chuckled

Jade huffed and grabbed beck and walked up all the stairs to her room

"You're mom seems nice" beck commented sitting down on the edge of her bed and looking around her dark room

He saw a lot of lamps and candles, some butterflies on the walls, two shelves full of various lumps floating in liquid and a sign that said revenge

"Not you too" she complained grabbing a jar off her shelf

"Watcha mean"
"Whenever any one meets my mom they think she's so nice. That's exactly what cat thought too"
"She is nice though"

Jade scoffed again

They kept talking about her room until the bus dropped off her 7 year old brother max from school

"I'm home!" They heard him yell

"Eugh that's max"

They watched max walk up the stairs and past jades room presumably towards his own bedroom grumbling to himself but when he looked inside jades room he stopped

"Mom there's a boy I'm jadeys room and they're holding hands!" He screamed the second he saw them together

"I know don't worry! Go introduce yourself"

"Who are you" max asked appearing in the doorway. He had almost the same scowl jade usually had just a tiny bit softer

"Oh my names beck I'm jades boyfriend, it's nice to meet you." Beck said sticking out a hand for him to shake

Max looked down at his hand "ok cool" he said before Turing and leaving the room

"Well he's not so nice"
"I know he copies everything I do so he's like me"

A while later they got called down for dinner so jade went to tell max and then they all went down together

"I made lasagna I hope that's ok beck?" She asked setting it down on the table in front of them
