kingsley pushed the door to the gym open, maggie following behind her. 

"okay, it's a blue waterbottle and i'm pretty sure i left it in here." maggie said.

"blue water-" kingsley trailed off as she saw effiel talking to tara. 

"we can go, kings, we don't have to-"

"no, it's fine. it's whatever. let's just find the water bottle." 

"k." maggie smiled as she headed to the bleachers. 

kingsley began to follow her before hearing tara haller. "kings! c'mere!"

"coming!" kingsley said before jogging to the other side of the gym. "what's up?" she said as soon as she reached the two girls, trying her best not to make eye contact with effiel. 

"effiel, here isn't used to rejection." tara hissed. 

"excuse me?" effiel scoffed. 

"i should go." kingsley said. 

"no!" tara said. "please, just tell effiel that you had nothing to do with the who made the team." 

"i didn't, why?"

"no reason." effiel quickly said.

"because effiel came to me because she thought you were mad at her for stealing your boyfriend so you cut her from the team." tara explained.

"wow." kingsley said. "yeah, i had nothing to do with it, effiel. bummer." 

"exactly what i told her." tara said crossing her arms. "if you want any tips from someone who made varsity her freshmen year and is the caption , point your toes and loose the attitude." 

kingsley gasped, covering her mouth with her hand trying to hold back her laugh. 

"kingsley, i found it!" maggie yelled holding up her water bottle. 

"bye, tara, love you." kingsley said as she began to walk away. 

"bye, kings, i'll see you at practice on monday!" tara waved.

"so you and kingsley are over?" sam asked. 

"for now, i don't know. it's like, a break." vinnie answered.

"i can't believe you're picking that effiel bitch over kingsley!" trevor chuckled as he tied his cleats.

"actually!" micha agreed. "i was in the gym a couple hours ago and she was screaming at tara because she thought kingsley cut her from the team because she was mad she stole her boyfriend." 

"you dropped a solid ten for a psycho bitch." sam laughed. 

"i didn't drop anyone." vinnie defended.

"you need to talk to her." micha said.

"hell no!" vinnie said. "she can talk to me! i didn't do anything wrong!"

"vinnie are you fucking dumb?" trevor yelled. "she asked you to no hang with one person, you hung with that one person!"

"just call her, man. y'all need to talk." micha said patting vinnie's back before heading out of the locker room.

"hey, kingsley, wait up!" chris yelled as he jogged towards kingsley who was walking to her car. kingsley was alone due to maggie completely flunking her science test and having to stay after to retake it.
