Seatmates and Tteokbokki

(Hwang Areum POV)
I walked down the hallways holding my books tightly.
It has officially been 1 month and a half since Jimin and I started dating!
With that thought, I walked into class sitting in my seat.
I turn behind me to smile at Jimin shyly.
"G-good Morning Jimin." I say with a small smile.
"Morning Areum." He said smiling back at me.
I felt my cheeks heat up so I immediately turned around.
And right at that moment, our homeroom teacher walking in.
We greeted her before sitting back down.
"Alright good morning to you all as well. Now, I will be giving you all your report cards by the end of the day and you better give it to your parents! I will be leaving them a message as well so don't try forging their signatures." My teacher said strictly.
A couple of my classmates groaned while the others nodded their heads.
"But for now, we will arrange your seats for a brand new school quarter."
I sat in my seat waiting for my name to be called.
The girl I sat next to was absent today so I sat alone.
"Juri go next to Minho. Jimin... Hm... Sit next to Areum."
My eyes widened.
I looked to my left to see Jimin sitting down.
"H-hey..." Jimin says looking at me.
I gave him a small nod.
I sat in my seat waiting to see if I were to get called.
"And.. That's it. I know I didn't move all of you. But, for now, just get used to your new seatmate for a couple months."
I nodded my head.
"Now let's start our lesson. Please open your Math book to page 147."
{Time Skip}
"And that is it for today. You all may leave now. Goodbye class." Our teacher said.
We bowed before packing our stuff.
Once I was done I grabbed my bag and my books but to be stopped my Jimin.
"U-um yes?"
"Can I walk you home today or every day..?" Jimin said without looking at me.
With flushed cheeks, I said yes.
He looked up at me with his fluttering eye smile.
"O-okay then! I'll meet you in front of the gates."
I nodded my head watching him walk out of class.
I quickly went to my locker and put my books inside.
Once I finished, I went out the school and saw Jimin waiting for me.
"Let's go?" Jimin asked.
I nodded my head.
{Time Skip}
We were walking in complete silence until I spotted a street vendor walking down the streets.
I see the ahjumma nearing us.
I hesitantly tap Jimin's back.
He turns around looking at me.
"Yes?"
"C-can I buy some tteokbokki from the ahjumma over there?" I say looking over at the ahjumma.
Jimin smiles softly before nodding his head.
We approached the ahjumma.
"Um hello... Could I please buy 2 servings of tteokbokki?" I asked.
The ahjumma nodded her head.
"That'll be ___."
I nodded my head taking my wallet out to pay.
But before I could, I see Jimin handing the ahjumma money.
"J-jimin!" I said feeling shy since he paid.
"It's alright. I'll pay for today okay?" Jimin said as his eyes turned into moon crescents.
"But you said that last time as well-
I was cut off when he put a tteokbokki in my mouth.
"Thank you ahjumma." Jimin said bowing at the ahjumma before dragging me away.
Once I swallowed the tteokbokki I started to ask.
"Why did you do that?!" I asked as Jimin handed me my tteokbokki.
He shrugged before saying "I just wanted too..."
I stare at him before handing him my other tteokbokki serving,
"Here." I said without looking at him.
"Huh?"
"I was going to pay since I decided to get one for me and one for you but, you decided to pay so... Thank you." I said managing to mumble my words out.
Jimin took the tteokbokki from me mumbling back a thank you.
We walked in complete silence while eating tteokbokki.
After a couple minutes we arrived in front of my house.
"Thank you for walking me home.." I said smiling while looking at my feet.
I hear him clear him throat.
"No problem.."
"U-uh... Well... I'll get going now..." I say looking up at him shyly.
He smiles softly at me.
"Alright then. Bye Areum-ssi." He said waving at me as I walked in my house gate.
"Bye Jimin.." I said waving back at him.
I took one more glance at him before walking into the house.
