"Are you sure this is going to work, Mickey? People aren't exactly accepting of a demon on television." Bendy said as he looked at the human-like mouse in front of him.
"Of course, Bendy my pal! Besides, people are much more accepting of things nowadays!" Mickey said with a big, trademarked smile.
"Couldn't Disney just buy the studio so if something bad happens, you can just fix it?" Bendy asked. Mickey just chuckled.
"Bends, you're being paranoid. Nothing bad will happen to your studio. We'll get you and your friends back up and running in no time!" Mickey put a hand on Bendy's shoulder.
"Right...you're right." Bendy sighed and closed his eyes. He was just being paranoid. Nothing bad was going to happen again. Joey was gone. He was where he belonged now. Bendy and his friends had a second chance at achieving their dreams.
He talked over a few more things with Mickey, who was graciously helping him restart the studio and adapt the cartoons to the more modern times. Henry Stein would be taking over the studio and all of the cartoons. Luckily, Sammy was able to recover from the...incident. He looked more human now, but still had a few inky features such as his black eyes and hair. Soon, the day drew to a close and Mickey left. Bendy yawned and headed back to his room to relax a bit. It wasn't long before there was a knock on his door.
"Bendy! Boris made dinner!" The voice of Alice Angel said from the other side. Bendy chuckled and sat up.
"I'm on my way, Alice!" He responded.
"Hurry or else Boris will eat your food!" Alice giggled and ran off. Bendy sighed softly and stood up before stretching. He looked around his room with a small smile. Things were going to be alright now. He looked in his mirror and fixed his hair before walking out of his room. He headed down to the dining room to eat with his family.
By the time everyone was done, it was getting late. Everyone headed to bed while Henry cleaned up the dishes. Bendy went to his room and flopped down on his bed to relax. After a moment, he sat up and went over to his desk. He pulled out a pen and a piece of paper.
Dear King Dice,
You'll never guess what happened today! Mickey Mouse himself came by the studio and helped us with getting our cartoons started back up again. He said he would work directly with us to
adapt the cartoons to modern times and work on scripts and music and such. We'll air our
pilot show on a cartoon channel and see how things will go. Hopefully, things go as smoothly as I
hope. I don't want to have to come back home yet and face Dad. Keep me updated about
how things are doing over on Inkwell Isle and in the Casino.
Sincerely, Bendy.
As soon as he finished writing the letter, Bendy folded it up and put it in an envelope. He summoned an ink searcher from a nearby puddle and gave the envelope to it.
"Hey, Little One. Can you take this to King Dice for me?" He asked. The searcher nodded and took the letter to the ink puddle and hopped into the puddle. Bendy watched it go and sighed softly before looking over at his vanity. He got up and walked over to it, looking into the mirror.
"You're such a fraud. You still have them assuming you're a cartoon." Said a voice beside him. The voice came from his shadow on the wall.
"I know that, Demon." Bendy sighed and closed his eyes. He didn't need this tonight.
"How long do you think you can keep this charade up? They'll find out sooner or later. And when they do, your life as you know it will end."
Those words stuck with Bendy. Demon was right. He wouldn't be able to hide who he truly was from the others for very much longer. But if he told them, who knew what would happen next? All hell could break loose and then Bendy would have to clean it up. He was tired of having to clean up messes like that. It's why he left his home in the first place. He wouldn't clean up anyone else's messes anymore. He just couldn't do it anymore.
"No one will find out. Not if I have anything to say about it." He said quietly, staring at his reflection.
"You may not be able to have a say in it, Bendy." Demon said lowly before going silent.
