Trigger Warning: mentions of anorexia and recovery
I had normal periods until I stopped menstruating when I was 16 due to anorexia. I recovered at 18 and have been in recovery for 6 years now, but I will still never have a normal period. I'll get them once every three months or so, but they last for a month of low-flow barely need a panty liner sludge. Every month skipped, every month completely on the rag, it's a reminder of the damage I did to my body so many years ago.
