Sun & Moon

SUN AND MOON
She is my sun,
I am her moon.
She shines as crystalline,
While I'm in gloom.

I borrow light,
She freely gives.
I'm lone at night,
In day she lives.

She spreads warmth,
I cover them cold.
Do people hate me?
Well, that's for sure.

In darkness, I live.
In daylight she breathes.
Who isn't scared of somber?
1, 2, 3, so few believe.

Some say I'm light,
In fact a mere shadow;
I glimmer around the dark.
And to the hilt she glows.

I hide when she appears.
I appear when she hides.
But no matter where she flickers,
I was there, I surmise.
