veronica held back a sob as she pulled up to the blocked off road. "fbi" she said quickly showing her id from the driver seat. the police moved out of the way, letting her in. two black suvs and a car that she right away recognized as spencer's. the night was dark, the moon giving light as she got out of her car. she scanned the cabin where she had spent many summer with her father. being his only child and being completely interested in criminal justice like him, they we're close. she has joined the bau team that he had left, years after. she walked up, the door wide open with everyone surrounding the body. she felt the presence of garcia and derek seconds later. "are you sure?" garcia whimpered. hotch looked up, meeting out eyes. "it's gideon" those two words changed the entire mood. spencer broke, storming out. garcia's cries were one of the last things veronica heard before following spencer. neither one said anything as veronica hugged him. he let her, wrapping his arms her. the two stood there, crying in each other's arms.
