It was Monday morning, and I let out a sigh as I open my eyes. The weekend flew by so fast, I couldn't even picture what has happened.

As I draw the curtains, I squinted my eyes a bit to repel the bright sun. I took a few deep breaths in and headed to the bathroom to take a shower.

I don't know if I have ever addressed this, but it's part of my job to wake Leo up. He isn't the type of a person who wakes up by himself, or even with atleast an alarm.

Right after I've taken a nice shower and put on clothes, I directly headed to his room to wake his ass up.

I knocked at his door, "Leo, it's 7:38. We only have a few minutes. Get up."

No one answered. Weird. Usually he would always give me a groan or a "Five more minutes please."

I knocked again, "Le- Oh."

He opened the door, "Yeah. I'm ready."

Oh. I- okay.

He walked past me and kissed her mom's cheek saying, "We gotta go, mom."

As we were walking to his car, accidentally brushing our hands together as we take each step, I folded my arms,

"Okay, I just gotta ask."

He stopped.

"Since when do you wake up by yourself? Especially on a school day?" I blabbed. I know it's not a big deal, but it really took me by surprise.

"What do you mean? I've been doing it since Saturday. Remember? I did your job while you were sleeping." he said while munching his banana.

I squinted my eyes while looking into his, raising a suspicion before turning around and continue walking.

As always, the car ride is filled with silence. We never actually bothered to talk to each other because it only takes atleast 5 minutes to school.

I was patiently looking at the road in my side window, as he cut off the silence by asking, "I'm really sorry about Henderson." his husky voice softens.

I flickered my eyes a bit, shocked by what he said.

"It's fine, besides, you warned me." I stated.

We arrived at the school, him paying attention to the pedestrians as he parks the car.

I opened the door beside me but was stopped when he muttered,

"It wasn't enough, though."

I was stunned, that he was actually serious.

I smiled, "Don't worry about me. Come on, we're gonna be late." I told him as I got out of the car.

"Wait, Giselle." he says, still not opening his door.

"Yeah?"

"Can I walk you to your first period?" he says swiftly, without skipping a beat.

I didn't know what was happening, I told him,
"Um. Okay? Sure."

As the students begin to scatter, Leo and I are in complete silence. I don't mind it, to be honest. In all honesty, I don't really care.

I was minding my own business, modest and demure.

Until he speaks, "Do you miss Texas?"

"What?"

"I said do you miss Texas?" he repeats, looking at me, while I look directly in front.

"I don't know. I mean, I miss my friends, but LA isn't that bad." I said as I look into him as well right after I finish my sentence. He looks away.
