A/N. It's one-thirty in the morning, I only just thought of this story a half an hour ago, and I barely have a skeleton plan. It's all just discovery writing from here.

No idea what I'm doing. Here we go!

(Jesse- 3rd person POV)

Jesse was peacefully taking a stroll through her beloved home, Beacontown. It had been three months since Romeo the Admin had been defeated after attempting to bedrock over the entire world, and Jesse had been busy helping to repair all the damage that had been done to her town. Now, she was enjoying a small, much needed break.

To any outsider, Beacontown would probably seem like chaos. Buildings of all shapes and sizes lined every street, each of them with brightly colored blocks. On the left you could see a giant squid house and a hot air balloon that looked like a hamburger, and on the right there was a floating cow head and a house that looked upside down. Yet despite all the randomness, there was a system in the way the builds were arranged, one that Jesse appreciated.

The only thing about Beacontown that Jesse despised was the gigantic floating tower above the Order Hall, left over from when Romeo had somehow disguised as and impersonated Jesse and taken her place as the town leader.

While Romeo was... well, being Jesse, Jesse and some of her friends had been struggling to survive in the previous world that Romeo abandoned. Fortunately, Jesse managed to make it back to the overworld, take away Romeo's admin powers, and returned everything to normal.

Normal except for the the fact that any time someone mentions the word "admin", Jesse has a quick panic attack and gives a deadly stare to whoever said it.

"Jesse, Jesse!" a voice shouted, snapping Jesse out of her thoughts. Jesse looked to see her intern, Radar, swiftly approaching.

"What's up, Radar?" Jesse asked.

Radar paused for a moment to catch his breath. "Lukas... and I... found something... weird," he said between gigantic gulps of air. "He sent me... to find you."

"Okay."

Jesse and Radar made their way around to the very back of Beacontown, behind the Order Hall.

"Hey, Jesse!" Said Lukas as they came closer. The ground he was standing on had been switched from grass to a pattern of cobblestone and sandstone.

"What's this?" Jesse asked, gesturing to the random floor Lukas stood upon.

"No idea," Lukas replied. "Nobody ever comes back here, so we don't know who built it. Radar and I have been trying to figure out if this symbol means anything."

Jesse studied the strange pattern. It looked familiar to her somehow. The fact that she seemed to recognize it sent a small chill down her spine. "It's just a rectangle with some blocks missing," she lied.  "This isn't a big deal. We'll just ask around town to see if anyone put this here."

"Are you sure, Jesse?"

"Yeah. It's just a little sandstone and cobblestone with a weird pattern. It never hurt anyone."

Radar and Lukas seemed content with that answer, and the three of them walked back into town.

(Tiiiiiiiiime Skip!)

Later that evening, as the sun went down, Jesse went to the Order Hall's library to research the weird symbol. She searched each shelf several times and flipped through thousands of pages before giving up. She stayed up for hours looking for any kind of clues.

She'd found a book called "Hermit Legends" that had seemed promising, but it was written entirely in gibberish. Instead of letters, the pages were covered in weird little symbols. If she had the energy, she could probably decipher a key, but that was only assuming that the weird letters translated directly to English. And the book was really long, so attempting to decipher it would take forever.

Frustrated, she slammed the book closed. Why did she think she would be able to find answers in a library? The odds of the symbol she was looking for actually being featured in one of these books were incredibly slim. She got up from her seat and stormed out the door.

Jesse decided to go around the outside of the Order Hall to find the symbol again. She'd been researching for most of the night, so the sky was dark. She grabbed an iron sword before leaving just in case.

Finding the weird platform thing wasn't hard. It was very nearby. But the cobblestone blocks seemed much darker than they had before. In fact, she wasn't entirely sure it was still cobblestone.

Had someone come by and replaced the cobblestone with a darker block? What would give them any motivation to do so?

Jesse bent down to get a closer look...

And realized she was looking at bedrock.

She gasped, jumping backwards. What being had the power to place bedrock? Could it be another admin? Or something completely new?

I have to warn the New Order of the Stone, Jesse thought. But before she could leave, she saw a bright flash of light-

And then Jesse was gone.

Each member of the Order of the Stone, no matter where they were, saw the same flash of light and disappeared.

A/N Well, that was dramatic. It was different than what I thought I was gonna do in this chapter. Since I'm completely improvising, I might start a chapter thinking that I'm gonna do one thing and then end up doing something completely different. This is definitely going to be a disaster.

And since I have no plan, feel free to give me ideas.

I guess I do have ONE plan, but only for Anthony. And he isn't even a hermit.

Speaking of hermits, I promise we're going to see a LOT more of them.
