SSNHB - 01

I spent the whole day reading cases after cases and I already started to dig information about that guy who raped and molested my client. I also contacted my friend who is a detective and investigator and ask for his help with this case. After that, I fix the things on my table. I make sure that I copied all the files that are on my laptop and transfer it to my flash drive before I permanently deleted it all. Mahirap na mag-iwan nang mga ganitong uri ng documents sa laptop ko dahil wala akong pinagkakatiwalaan sa mga taong kasama ko dito. Not even my secretary.

After I make sure that I already transferred and deleted all, I change my laptop password just to make sure. I also bring all the folders to my table. I put the flash drive inside my bag and retouched it for a bit before I bring all the folders with me and leave my office. I also make sure that I locked it and change the code of my lock.

"Uuwi na ho kayo ma'am?" tanong ni Anya sa akin nang makita niyang dala ko na ang mga gamit ko.

"Yes." Maikling tugon ko lang sa kaniya saka dire-diretsong nag lakad papuntang parking lot para kunin ang sasakyan ko doon.

Nakasalubong ko pa si Ace na mukhang pabalik ulit sa office niya. I just rolled my eyes at him and continue walking, not giving a damn kahit paulit-ulit niya pa akong tinatawag.

Nang makarating ako sa parking area ay agad akong sumakay sa sasakyan ko. I was about to start my engine when my phone rang. I looked at the caller I.D and saw that it was my cousin, Ate Marie.

"What is up bitch?" I asked her when I answered the call. I hear her laugh on the other line.

"Same old, same shit bitch." She answered that's the time I laugh.

"Anyways, I know that you're not aware of the date, so bitch it's already Friday just so you know. So go here at my house na. Let's ease some stress." Sabi niya. I mentally slapped myself when I forgot na ngayon nga pala kami mag-iinom.

"Arggh, I totally forgot," I tell her. She just laughed at me.

"I know right!" she said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Get your slow ass here at my house na. Bilisan mo, alak na alak na ako." She added.

"Ito na nga oh. Mag da-drive na." I said laughing. I put my phone in Bluetooth para kahit nag da-drive ako I can answer calls without hassle. After putting it on Bluetooth, I already start my car engine and drove off the parking area.

"Okay, drive safely baby. Take care. Bye, see you." Paalam sa akin ni ate.

"Yes pooo, bye-bye. See you mwa." I answered back and drop the call. I am already out of manila and on my way to Cavite because basically, that's where we leave.

Ate Marie, Ate Marj, and I are living in the same village and ilang blocks lang ang layo nang mga bahay namin sa isa't isa. Ate Marie is a writer and a college professor, while Ate Marj is a businesswoman.

I was already entering the border of Bacoor and Imus when the traffic got heavy. Lagi namang traffic dito so it's not new to me. 30 minutes have already passed and still, hindi pa rin kami umuusad. Hindi naman umulan kanina so hindi baha, anong meron at bakit ganito na naman kalala yung traffic?
I opened my car's window and asked the MMDA officer na nag ha-handle ng traffic.

"Excuse me kuya, anong meron bakit hindi na naman po umuusad ang mga sasakyan?"

"Nako ma'am may aksidente na naman po eh." Sagot niya sa akin. Kumunot ang noo ko dahil doon.

"Car accident po?" I asked again.

"Car and motor accident po ma'am. Lasing daw ho yung nagmamaneho ng sasakyan kaya lumihis sa kabilang lane, saktong mabilis din yung takbo nung motor at hindi agad na control. Ayun nagka salpukan." Pagkukwento niya sa akin. Hindi ko alam pero bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko.

"May rumesponde na po bang ambulansya?"

"Meron na ho ma'am, kakarating-rating lang din po kaya hindi pa umuusad yung mga sasakyan."sagot niyang muli.

Nag pasalamat naman ako sa kaniya at sinara na muli ang bintana ng sasakyan ko. I reached for my rosary and utter a small prayer bago ko pinaandar ang sasakyan ko nang unti-unti nang umusad ang nasa harap ko.

When I went past the accident area, I saw the guy lying on the stretcher and being put inside the ambulance car, probably the guy who's riding the motor. I saw him staring at me for a minute before he closes his eyes. I feel my heart beats fast. I don't know what's with me, but I feel something weird because of that intense look.

After another couple of minutes ay bumilis na rin ang biyahe ulit dahil naka alis na yung ambulansya. Ten minutes later, ay nasa tapat nako ng bahay ko at binubuksan ang garahe para ipasok ang sasakyan ko. I just put all of my things in my working office and then I go to my room to change my clothes.

After changing ay kinuha ko lang phone at wallet ko bago lumabas at ilock ang bahay ko. Nag lakad lang ako papunta sa bahay ni Ate Marie dahil nga sa kabilang block lang naman siya at maliwanag dito sa village naming dahil lahat ng street lights ay nagana at bukas.

When I reached Ate's house I pressed the doorbell. I didn't wait long dahil binuksan din niya agad ang pinto. I went inside and lay on the couch, habang si ate ay busy na ilabas yung iba pang pagkain at yung mga alak.

Pagbalik niya galing kusina ay may dala dala siyang ice bucket at isa pang alak. Nang tignan ko ang mga nakalagay sa lamesa, nalula ako. Hindi ko alam kung mag rerelax lang kami para mawala ang stress o magpapakabusog ng malala dahil bibitayin na kami?

"Ang dami naman nito." Sabi ko kay Ate Marie nang makaupo siya sa tabi ko. Paano ba naman kasi may spaghetti, shanghai, sweet and sour meatballs, chicken, cakes tapos limang bote nang The Bar.

"Ubos natin yan. Walang diet diet." Sagot niya habang nagsasandok nang pagkain niya. Kumuha na rin ako nang sa akin at nag simula nang kumain. Habang nakain kami ay nanood muna kami nang balita.
