Jennie's POV
"Hey Jennie this is your wedding invitation to Chaeyoung and I wedding" Jisoo said then she gave me the card.
"Ahh thank you Jisoo" I said. We are in a Cafe in the middle of Seoul.
"So how are you Jennie?" Jisoo ask
"For the past few days I'm very stressed because we are nearly finished finding a cure for CJD" I said
"You still keep your promise with Lisa" she said
"A promise is a promise" I said
"Hope you all the best Jennie" She said then she leaves.
Kring Kring
My cellphone suddenly rang.
"Hello this is Jennie Kim" I said
"Dr. Kim the trial is now finish" the people in the other line said
"OK I will be on my way" I said then I immediately leave the Cafe
At the Lab
"Give me the data" I said as I arrived at the lab
"Here is it Dr. Kim" Dr. Lee said
"Did the patient shows good changes?" I ask while screening the patient chart
"Yes Dr. Kim the patient nerve cell is going back normal. And I believe it already kills the prions and hence" he said
"Congrats everyone we finally find the cure for Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease" I said which makes everyone cheer on happiness.
"Let's have a party after" Dr. Lee said
All of them agree.
"Are you going to Dr. Kim?" Dr. Lee said
"Sure but we need to make the vaccine before we go" I said then they all groaned. I just smile at them
At the bar.
All of my colleagues are now enjoying and I'm just at the bar stool. Drinking some random cocktail that the bartender gives.
When I'm really drunk I go to the dance floor and dance like no tomorrow. But a guy suddenly touches my butt. But after a few seconds, he is on the floor. A person wearing a Hoodie punches him.
Then I lost consciousness.
I find myself laying on a bed in an unfamiliar place. And my clothes are changed.
Then a girl enters the room with a glass of water.
"Glad you're awake you pass out last night and I don't know where to bring you so I bring you to my place." she said then she sit beside the bed.
"Yah why is my clothes change did we do it" I ask
She just laughs
"Of course not I just change your clothes because you puke on it" she said
"Ahh OK I'm sorry if I misjudged you" I said
"It's alright here's painkillers for your head" she said then she gave me the medicine and the water.
I accept it and drink it immediately.
"Thank you" I said
"Want to eat some breakfast I cook something earlier" she said. I just nod then I follow her outside the room.
We eat then she starts to talk and she always says lame jokes. She doesn't drink coffee with cream. She has mannerisms that every minute she fixes her bangs. She reminds me of Lisa in every way she moves.
My tears suddenly start to flow.
"Hey Miss why are you crying did I say something that makes you offend if yes I'm sorry" she sincerely said
"Not all you just remind me of the person I love" I said
"Really?" she asks
"Yeah you're like a clone of her but you have a different face" I say
"What's her name"? She asks
"Lisa. Lisa Manoban" I said
"What a great coincidence my name is Liza" she said
"Nice to meet you Liza my name is Jennie" I said then we shake hands
"Nice to meet you Jennie" she said then I find a familiar smile on her face. The smile of Lisa the girl that I always love.
After we have breakfast I leave her condo unit wearing her clothes. I said that I will bring it back but she said that I keep it.
I just go home to my condo unit then I just take a bath.
At the Lab
Three days already pass when I meet Liza. And I'm currently at the lab to get the first successful medicine of CJD. It's four years of work for all of us. I become a pathologist to find the cure for CJD like the promise I said to Lisa that I will find a cure.
"Thank you for the hard work everyone I will take my leave now" I said as I put a bottle of CJD medicine in my bag
"Who will you give that Dr. Kim" Dr. Lee asked
"To the person that I promised that I will find the cure to CJD" I said then I leave the lab.
An hour later
I'm currently at the cemetery now. And guess what I'm in front of Lisa's tombstone.
"Hey Lili guess what I brought" I said then I put out the medicine
"Look I do my promise I find a cure for CJD" I said then My tears start to flow
"I'm sorry that it takes longer to find it. You know I still need to study to become a pathologist but I find it." I said then I start to sob
"You promise me that you will wait till I find the cure right. You're a liar Lisa" I said
" 12 years happen so fast Lisa and I really miss you I'm really sorry it takes long but at least I do my promise unlike you" I said
"You know what I meet a girl that has the same personality as yours. She always says lame jokes like you, she doesn't drink coffee with cream too and She also has bangs like you that she always fix."
"Are you her Lisa if yes can you give me a sign. If she appears after I leave that means she is you. What am I saying your already in heaven I'm must be crazy. But remember Lisa I will always love you no matter what. Maybe your not my first love but you will forever remain in my heart."
I whip my tears then I start to walk outside the cemetery when a girl wearing a hoodie suddenly bumps me.
I think she just gets here.
" I'm sorry I don't see you there Oh Jennie" the girl said
"Liza?" I said
"Yeah it's me Liza" she said
