Katy's POV

Leondre walked over with a smile on his face. "Have your new friends told you about me then?" he grinned. Man he could be annoying. I put a huge obviously fake smile on my face. "So you rap? How nice. I don't really care" I replied rudely. He laughed. He handed me a piece of paper. "Text me" he smiled. "I wouldn't hold my breath" I warned as he walked away. I turned to see all five girls staring at me. "What?" I asked confused. "You just got the Leondre Devries' number and you're acting like it's no big deal!" squealed Regina. "You act way to cool" laughed Izzy. I just laughed. "So how come you moved here?" asked Georgina curiously. I took a deep breath. Time to tell them the truth.

"Okay. Before I start I completely understand if after this you don't want to be my friends," I started. "Well basically I got into a bit of trouble back home. I was living in my sister's shadow and my parents never turned up for any of my performances. I used to try so hard to impress them that I lost myself. So I became more me. And this is me. But they still never noticed me. So I started getting into trouble and well..." I trailed off. The next part they were going to hate me for.

"What did you?" Hailey asked intrigued.

"Well I started getting drunk and smoking and sometimes I would skip school. I was kinda a class clown. I didn't try in lessons. I got into fights an it got me expelled from school. My parents had a huge go at me so I went out and got drunk. And one time I kinda thought that it would be fun to try and drive my dad's new car. And then, fed up off me, my parents sent me here to live with my Aunt and Uncle"

"Why would we not want to be friends with you?" Georgina asked. "We all have a past. And you were living in your sister's shadow, I know how that feels..." "And I've been wanting a friend who's a bit rebellious like me" Lola smiled. I smiled. They wanted to be friends with me, which was good. "Anyway, I think we should go into town after school. Ya know. Show Katy where all the shops are" squealed Regina. We all agreed and suddenly I had plans for after school.

Last period I had science and I was sat next to Leo (again!). We had to work together on this experiment. It was kind of awkward between us. We were missing a piece of equipment so I went to get it. As I was getting it four girls came over to me. They all had their skirts up extremely high and ridiculous amounts of make up on their face. Two of them were blonde, while one of them had light brown hair and the other had dark brown hair. They looked cheap. They walked over in a line with the two in the middle walking a couple of steps ahead. They started looking me up and down. "Stay away from Leondre" sneered the girl with light brown hair. "Free country" I glared back. "Listen up you Irish whore" started the taller girl with blonde hair. "You can't waltz into our country an steal our man" I laughed a little bit. "I can't steal what you don't own" They looked irritated. "Just stay away from Leondre" growled the shorter blonde. "Or what?" I stupidly questioned. The girl with dark brown hair suddenly gave me a hard shove into the shelving unit of.

As I fell into the shelving unit a bunch if test tubes fell onto me. "Oh my gawd are you okay?" the girl with light brown hair faked concern. The teacher came running over. "Are you okay Katy? What happened?" she asked. They all glared at me. "I tripped over my own feet. I'm so clumsy" I lied. She sent me back to my experiment once she knew that I was okay. "What happened over there?" Leondre asked staring at my with concern in his deep brown eyes. "Nothing, I just tripped" I lied. "It didn't look like nothing" he replied. "Well it was nothing" I snapped.

When the lesson finished Georgina and Lola (who were in my science class) waited for me to catch up. "What happened in science?" Lola asked sounding concerned. At that moment the four bitches walked past us. "Oh I just tripped over my feet. Clumsy me" I half-laughed. The girls sniggered as they walked past. "It looked like they threatened you" Georgina said concerned once they were around the corner. "They did" I admitted. "Who exactly are they?" It already seemed clear that they think they owned the school. "The one with light brown hair is Jasmine, the girl with dark brown hair is Tamzin, the shorter blonde is Millie and the other blonde is Ellen. They think they own the school" Lola told me. "Okay. Shall we go meet the others?" I asked brushing it off. With that we left to meet the others and spoke no more about it.

By 5 o'clock they had all left to go home. I told them that my Aunt was picking me up, which was a lie. I didn't want to face my new life yet. I sat in Costa with a hot chocolate while listening to music. Why can't I just be truthful? Like tell all of the truth not just what I don't mind people knowing? I sat listening to Social Casualty by 5SOS. I thought about everything. My whole life had changed so suddenly. I didn't know myself anymore. Who am I supposed to be? As I was thinking someone came and sat at my table. I looked up to see Leondre. I took out one earphone. "Shouldn't you be at home or something?" he asked concerned. "Shouldn't you mind your own business?" I snapped back. "It's late, won't your family be worried?" He kept asking questions. "My aunt thinks that I'm at a friend's house." I said quietly. He didn't leave ans just kept talking to me.

When half past 6 came, I knew that I should get home even if I didn't want to. "I can you walk home" Leondre offered. "You should just stay away from me. I'm bad news" I warned. "It's dark outside, I'm walking you home" he told me. I sighed and picked up my bag. Once we got outside I pulled out my cigarette packet. I opened it and pulled one out. If I smoked this now I would only have 5 left. I knew that I needed it for stress relief after the day I'd had. I lit the cigarette then breathed in deeply. "You know by smoking your killing yourself" Leondre lectured me. "You know you're not my mum, you don't need lecture me" I snapped back. He looked taken aback from my comment. I chucked my cigarette on the floor and stamped it out. "Don't worry I'm quitting once I finish this pack. I've only got five left. And I don't even really like them" I reassured him. It was the actual truth. When we finally reached my house He started chuckle. "What" I asked with irritation in my voice. "It's just you live next door to me. My mam's good friend with your Aunt."

I now live next door to Leondre Devries.

Most girls would go crazy about this but me, not so much.

He stared at me for a second. "Well I'll see you tomorrow. Maybe we could walk together?" he asked. He sounded nervous. "Maybe if you get here before I start walking by myself" I smiled. "I hate waiting" With that I turned and walked into my house. I didn't look back until after the door shut.

My heart fluttered.

No it didn't.

It couldn't have.

It shouldn't have.

But it did.
