Annabeth's POV
After Belle and the others left I walked into my tent and got my book that I hoped to finish by the end of this trip. Once I had my book I sat right across from Ethan. Every now and then I would look up from my book to see if he had awoken. I had read for a good hour before Ethan started to wake up.
"Am I in Heaven?" he asked with a smirk on his face.
"Not quite, your at Belle's campsite."
"OK, at first I thought I was seeing angels" he said as I blushed a little.
"You passed out last night and asked if you and the other guy could stay here." "Lucky for you my friend is a kind-hearted person and let you stay."
"Thanks to her I got to meet you.....speaking of which I don't think I have properly introduced myself" he said defiantly. "My name is-"
"Ethan, I know Belle told me this morning, my name is Annabeth.
"That's a pretty name, almost as pretty as the owner of the name."
My face flushed red and when I looked back at him he was smiling. His stomach growled as he started to look deep into my eyes.
"Annabeth" he said sweetly.
"Yes Ethan"
"Do you have any pizza?"
" I knew you would be hungry."
I thought he was going to act out a love scene with the waiting to say the words thing. I got up and found a pizza box from when we ate the first night. The pizza was a little cold so I heated it up by the fire. I gave him three slices of pizza and I ate three as well. Once we were through eating pizza we talked a little, we asked little basic questions then later on we got a little deeper.
"What do like to do Annabeth?"
"Read, eat, play soccer, and hang out with friends."
"What do you like to do Ethan?"
" I also like to read, eat, play soccer, and hang out with friends but I also play guitar."
I was surprised to hear that he plays the guitar because most guys don't know how to play any instrument.
"Ethan I need to take your temperature because Belle said I needed to take it every hour or so."
"Okay."
I leaned over to check his temperature, it was normal.
"You're all better."
"That's good to know."
"So have you read the Percy Jackson series?"
"Yes and it's amazing, I loved it!"
" I did too, and have you read the mortal instruments series?"
"No, but I have heard of it before, what is it about?"
As I told him a little of what it was about so I would ruin the book for him he watched me explain the book and asked very good questions every now and then. Once I was finished I told him there was a movie for the first book but but a movie for the second book yet and that I had the two books with me. He immediately asked if he could read the first book and I told him yes. He was so overjoyed that he nearly grabbed the book out of my hands to read the first page. So three we were across each other reading.
Belle's POV
It had been a hour since we had embarked on our journey and some of the group was getting a little tired of walking. I told the group we would rest right after we crossed the log we had stumbled into. Tom and Brad were the first to cross. After that Kate, Braxton and Drew crossed. It was my turn to cross the log but I slipped on one part and would have fallen if someone wasn't there to catch me. I turned around to see caught me and to my surprise it wasn't Drew. It was Noah. I thanked him quickly then balanced the rest of my way across while Noah stayed on to help Jenny. We all sat down after the walk across the dangerous log but I couldn't help but wander off after hearing the sound of rushing water. Leaving the group and Drew behind. I followed the sound of the water and traced it to a beautiful waterfall. As I stood in awe at the mighty waterfall that was before me I was seized by a great force and dragged underneath the waterfall.
It looked even more beautiful under the waterfall. The walls seemed to glisten like jewels and it was so peaceful like a scenery from heaven had dropped out onto Earth. I tried to figure out who was pulling me and I forcefully pulled my hand away knocking the breathe out of me as I hit the ground. I looked up to find Noah.
"What are you doing?" I asked still stunned at what was going on.
"You ran off so I followed you and you led me here" he said out of breathe.
"What are you doing following me?" I asked still confused.
" You're hot and I dig that."
I slapped him across the face and ran off hoping to get away from him. he chased after me and grabbed my arm pulling me into him.
"Let go of me you pig!" I yelled trying to shake him off of me.
He pulled me closer to him and by that time I had had enough so once I broke free of his grasp once again I punched him in the jaw causing him to scream out in pain. I knew he wasn't going to let me go so easily so he clutched onto my arm and dragged me closer and closer behind the waterfall. I tried to get away from his greedy hands but he wouldn't let go. Right then Drew ran out of the bushes just in time to see me being dragged off behind the waterfall. He ran behind the waterfall and pulled me safely away from Noah. I raced into his arms where I knew I would be safe from Noah. He hugged me tight as he started arguing with Noah.
"What the hell dude?"
"What, I just wanted to kiss her" he said carrying his jaw.
"She's mine!" He said defensively.
"Dude I'm so sorry, I thought she wasn't anyone's." He said really shocked
"I'm so sorry Belle." he said apologetically
"Don't expect me to forgive you so easily and just for the record real gentlemen don't harass the girls they like, they treat them with respect." You should learn some, it will do you some good for a change." I fired back without thinking.
He stood there for a moment thinking about the things I just told him and so was I.
"I'm sorry but you don't just drag a girl to where she doesn't want to go just to be forcibly kissed."
"Your absolutely right Belle thank you and sorry for what I did I really didn't think you belonged to anyone." He left without saying another word.
Drew embraced me and held me into his arms as he whispered into my ear " please never leave my side." I whispered back "I wont." We stood there for a while just trying to calm each other down. A few minutes passed and we decided to walk back to the others. He intwined his fingers in mine as we walked back to find the others but right as we were about to leave I saw Jenny come out of the bushes. I let go of Drew's hand and went over to Jenny to find out what was wrong.
"Jenny, what's wrong?"
"I just need to be alone for awhile to think if that's ok with you?"
"That's fine." I said and went over to hold Drew's hand once again.
"Don't think too hard." I said a little concerned before I left her.
