Kate felt her heart swell in her chest as her smile reached her ear. Here she was in a booth with May Hills who was giving her advice. God she was ready to die happy

"I admire you so much, I've read so much about you and I've followed your work. You make me want to be an actress, your movies as so damn special, there's always a hint of May Hills in it. You're a legend and I love you so much. Thank you for even listening to me" Kate chuckled
"You're such a sweetheart" May smiled
"So I've been told" Kate playfully scoffed and tossed her hair over her shoulders, gaining some soft of confidence as May's laughed filled the entire diner
Eyes were snapped in their direction, confused looks onto why Ms Hills was even sitting with a waitress
"So why are you in town?" Kate asked, curious to know if the rumors were true
May but down on her bottom lip and glanced around the room, people quickly turned their attention away from them and continued on with their meal
"Can you keep a secret Kate?" May smiled
"Ofcourse, they call me the secret keeper. Because I'm the keeper of secrets, got it?" Kate awkwardly tried to explain
"Oh for fuck sakes" Ethan face palmed
"I'm actually working on a few film" May smiled
"No way. At the studio down the street?" Kate gasped
"Yep, I've recently received the finished copy of the script from the writers and they're ready to start filming" she grinned
"Holy shit. Congratulations Ms Hills" Kate smiled
"Oh please, call me May" the woman said
"Oh... May" Kate mumbled with a red stain appearing on her cheek already
"Are you hooked on any auditions?" May asked
"unfortunately no, the diner has been busy for the past month, hasn't allowed me to even take a break"
"Damn, I guess you haven't showered in a while either huh?" May giggled
"Was it that obvious?" Kate chuckled
"Nah I'm just messing with you" the director smiled
"Can I ask more questions or is it confidential?"
"I... Sure, I'll see what I could do" May said
"Is the film about action?"
"No.. It's romance actually" May smiled
"oh wow... How long has production been on?" Kate asked
"Not long actually, it's been in the works for a month now but we've finally got our main star" May said
"Congratulations" Kate smiled
"Nothing to celebrate about yet, we also need another main star" May said
"Oh.. Really?" Kate asked
"Yep, we're actually sending out auditions tomorrow"
"WHAT!?" The three teenagers said in unison
May furrowed her brows and glanced in the direction of Ethan and Jamie who were behind the bar, it was obvious that they were listening to the conversation
Their eyes went wide and they ducked behind the bar, avoding the eyes of the director
May chuckled when Ethan's hand reached up on the counter, feeling around for his plate with his burger on it before be pulled it down with him
