"I like all of you and your music," ngumiti ako sa kaniya.

He rubbed his lips while looking away, like thinking something deep. "Do you know one of our composed songs?"

Shoot.

Tinikom ko ang bibig ko. "I haven't.. well, uh.." 

Umangat ang sulok ng labi niya at tinignan ako ng naghahamon na tingin. "

"Well... I'm still new. I can't keep up that fast. Papakinggan ko, kung ganoon."

"Just to prove something?"

"No!" Agap ko. "I told you, I like your band and your music."

Nagbikit siya ng malapad na balikat. "Sinabi mo, e."

He is so hard to please. He doubts every move that I make. 

Abot langit ang pinakita kong ngiti at nilabas ko ang pantay pantay kong ngipin. "So, saan ka pagkatapos nito?"

He's tapping his fingers on the table, making a sound. He's occupied because of the music.

"Home," maikli niyang sabi na walang kagana gana habang nakatingin sa dance floor na nilalamon na ng crowd.

I locked my focus on him. "Saan ka nakatira?"

I thought he wouldn't tell me about his personal information but he did.

"2nd street, Villona Avenue."

Tumaas ang dalawang kilay ko sa sinagot niya. He actually told me his house.

"You spilled your address."

He innocently looked at me. "Uh-hmm?"

"What if I'm an obsessed fan?"

He shrugged. "You're not even a fan."

Heck. Whatever.

Ngumisi ako. "College ka na din?" I asked.

"Graduating," maikli uli niyang sabi at pinaglaruan ang labi niya uli habang nakatingin sa crowd na tila tulala doon at hindi sa akin.

Oh.

"Course?"

"Same. Business ad."

"Oh." Destiny? "UEV?"

"ULV." He's referring to a university a bit far from mine.

He's not even stuttering! Why's he saying these things to me?

"Why aren't you drinking, anyway?" tanong ko dahil hindi ko na din mainom ang rum ko dahil sa kaniya. I don't want to look lasinggera in front of him.

Nilingon niya ako ngayon. "Mag-dadrive pa ako."

"So? I'm driving, too. A shot isn't that bad."

"I had shots before performing."

Nanahimik na lang ako. His strong perfume must be blocking the alcohol smell on him. But anyway, even though he smells alcohol all over his body. 

Tumayo siya galing sa pagkakaupo. I almost panicked. Iiwan na ba niya ako?

"You should go home. It's late."

Nagulat ako doon. Bumaba din ako sa pagkakaupo ko at inayos ang suot kong siguro'y lukot na dahil sa matagal na pag upo. I lit up my face just to look at him.

I smiled. "Uuwi ka na din ba?"

Tumango siya at may nilingon sa crowd. "I'll go home in a few minutes. Ihahatid na kita sa labas."
