"What happened to you brother" I said scared. Keith snapped his head in my direction and growled and slowly headed my direction on all fours like a rabid dog, growling. He stared me dead on in the eyes, his eyes were no longer yellow but glowing a deep purple. I used my past galran knowledge, that they can smell fear. I let go of all fear wrapping around my head and slowly crouched down to his level like a he was some scared pup. I looked into his eyes hoping to use something to get through to him, I put my hand out offering it to Keith as a sign of peace. I was making progress. Keith looked more scared than angry. He didn't mean to hurt them, it was just his animal instincts to protect himself. "It's okay I'm here" I said softly in hopes not to startle him, I smiled softly hoping to calm down the feral human in front of me. "Everything's going to be okay, I promise" softly and slowly I started moving in his direction, making no sudden movements. The glow from his eyes were no longer lingering, his eyes faded from a purple, to a yellow, all the way to a puffy red color. His skin turned from purple to pale tan, he no longer looked angry nor scared. I smiled and made the final movement, falling to my knees hugging my brother hoping to bring him back. I was feeling his feelings in the moment as we are twins after all. I felt his arms wrapping around me into a tight embrace, leading no hesitation on letting me go. We sat there hugging and sobbing in each other's warmth and sorrow, against the wall, showing no hesitation that we loved each other. The Kogane family never really said the l-word anymore, more as last words now. Those words were a curse in this family. Everyone we'd ever say that to would die days after. It happened with our dad, foster parents and friends, so we never say anymore but we know we love each other to zero extent. We cried and cried into each other's figure. I let out a soft, wet chuckle as I layed on his chest. The door opened but we didn't leave, but instead stayed on the floor of the cell still holding each other. I Heard Lance's voice in the back of my head 'why aren't they coming out'. Lance came through the door seeing us first hand, cuddling against the cold floor and wall. I felt his eyes trail my entire body, knowing he was checking me out. "Lance, I am so sorry for what I did early, I have no excuse for how I treated you" "it's okay, I know you were just trying to protect Y/N, it's not your fault" "but I know I hurt you and Shiro, badly too" "really it's fine it's was just a few scratches, we are fine" Lance sat next to us, I wanted to crawl into his lap, but I didn't what to hurt keith anymore than I already have so I stayed put. "Go on" Keith said as he pushed me in the direction of lance. I finished the job and crawled into the Latino boys lap, cuddling and purring into his chest. His body felt like fire against mine, but in a good way. I sat up and looked him in the eyes, and with that our lips connected perfectly, like there were made to mold into each other. I knew keith was watching but at this point I didn't care, all I cared about was the Cuban lips against mine. We pulled away still staring into each other's irises, his hands running up and down my arms and thighs. It was kinda hot how he hands heated up my thighs in a way that turned me on. "Y/N I want to apologize for how I acted when I found out you two had a thing, it's just I don't what to see you broken-hearted again" I kissed keiths cheek telling him I understood what he was talking about "it's okay, I know Lance doesn't want to hurt me. If he did I don't think we would be soul mates" I said with a smile on my face "and even if he did, I would know" I smiled. "How?" "I think his thoughts remember" he gave that look of enbarssment like he completely forgot. Lance got up and picked me up along with it. He carried me to the common room with everyone following including keith. I heard chatter behind us but I was only focused on the charming human being in front of me. He sat me down on the couch and sat next to me. I don't know how he wasn't shivering. It was cold. I started shivering and pulling all my limbs closer to keep as much warmth with me as possible. Now I was only wearing Lance's shirt and boxers as cover but it was colder than it should have been. Know I tell this because I saw pidge start shivering and cuddled closer to Hunk. Now at this point I thought I was a cube in an ice cold margarita. Well that was until I felt long, warm arms wrap around my tiny figure. I crawled closer to the warmth, turns out I has crawled back into Lance's embrace. He whispered in my ear "Hey Y/N, I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go out with me sometime" I nodded in response hoping I wasn't hurting his feelings by not saying anything. He kissed the back of my neck slowly and sweetly, I melted into the affection causing me to let out a content purr. I felt a warmer sensation surrounding my body, I wasn't complaining. It was cold so this newly created warmth was pleasing, not to mention the fire of my back as it rested on Lance's chest with the sweet fire blazing. I felt my consciousness slipping past my fingers as I fell into a deep slumber.

The next morning

I awoke to find myself in the comforts of Lance's bed, warm with the cozy scent of the tropics. I swung my legs over the edge of the bed, the cold air sending chills up and down my spine. I walked over to lances closet and pulled out a light blue hoodie and slid it over my head already feeling warmer. Along with the hoodie I slid on shorts and a pair of light blue fluffy socks. I walked out and to the the dining hall and as I got closer the sound of yelling got louder. Some part of me thought there was something was wrong but when I got to the door I looked in and saw everyone in there having a goo fight. I laughed and walked to the common room. I sat down and pulled a blanket over my cold body. I tied my l/h hair into a messy bun and closed my eyes. I heard the quiet taps of someone tiptoeing towards me trying to scare me. As they got closer I had an idea. Instead of the person coming closer scaring me, I was gonna scare them. When they crept up behind me and stopped I spun around and yelped. "AHH what the fuck" Lance screamed as he stumbled backwards and fell on his ass "that's what you get for trying to scare me" I said with a devious grin. He smiled knowing I won this battle before it even began. He stood up and plopped down next to me. It was uncomfortably quiet. Lance fake yawned and threw his arm around the back of my neck and kissed my cheek. I blushed and so did he, I could feel it. I stood up and started walking away. "Hey, dress summery, I'm taking you out in ten" he yelled out as I was walking away, taking note. I ran to allura to ask for advice. I've never really been the romantic type. I knocked on her door frantically. "Yes" she said as the door slid open. "I need help, I need a summery outfit and hair." I said in a panic. She grabbed my hand and pulled me in. She handed me a cute yellow and orange sundress I changed into the sundress and did my hair into a really cute half ponytail, half down and slipped on a pair of yellow flats. I walked out to the control, to find lance in a blue tank-top, sunglasses, swim shorts and flipflops. It worked perfectly because allura had given me a blue bikini. He took me by the hand and dragged me to the lion. We walked into the cockpit and started flying. He brought me to a summery planet with beaches galore. He lead me to a blanket and sat down.  He gave me a frankly warm bowl of my favorite pasta. "How'd you know this was my favorite" "Keith told me" "go figure" I said with an eye role while taking a bite. He smiled while taking a bite of his food. He reached out and grabbed my hand. He looked hesitant. "What's wrong" I said "nothing just.. I need to tell you something. Y/N I have liked you since the second I layed eyes on you. But now I know exactly what I think of you. Y/N, I love you" I shuddered I knew what I thought of him which was the same thing he just said, but this was bad. I couldn't say what I meant, this would ruin my life, finally dating the love of my life. He sat there staring at me waiting for my reply. "I can't" I said as I stood up and walked the other direction, holding my arms. "Hey wait" he said as he chased me down "What's wrong" "I can't, I'm sorry" "what do you mean, it's okay if you don't love me, well get there" I looked him in the eyes sincerely "thats not it, it's just.. that word is a curse to the Kogane family, I'm sorry." I said getting teary eyed. He placed his hand on my cheek and kissed me, telling me everything he thought of me in the kiss. I kissed back tears falling where our lips connected. He pulled away and said
