For her heart had been taken to Atlantis the day Aqua left.

She cared not if she had to die in that storm, she wasn't going to move and miss the chance to see her girlfriend appear again. The storm was all too familiar, three times they've experienced that type of intensity. She had a feel deep down that this was it.

But suddenly, lightning came, a brilliant shock of white in the graphite sky, forking silently to the unsuspecting ground just inches away from Beverly - the thunderous boom always calling its warning too late.

The girl's and Adam flinched inside the house from the bright and shocking strike, some falling to the ground from the intense sound and vibration of the lightening but Beverly didn't bat an eye. Not a hair on her arm raised, her focus was only on the horizon

"Oh for FUCK SAKES BEVERLY, GET YOUR ASS IN HERE BEFORE YOU GET KILLED" Josie yelled as she pushed open the door

"Josie! WATCH IT" Allie hissed as she ran after the girl, it was too dangerous to be outside

"No! She almost fucking DIED and she's still sitting here. Do you want your girlfriend to come back to a dead corpse! Fried to perfection!?" she hissed

But the short hair blonde remained silent, no words. Just her soft breathing and lost gaze

"Beverly I know you're going through some shit right now but it isn't safe to be out here!" Josie yelled as she pushed through the heavy downpour of rain, running towards

"We can't drag her into the house!" Elena yelled

"Yes. Yes we can!" Adam hissed as he also ran after them

"Touch me and I'll chop all of your fingers off" Beverly said in a low voice, never moving her focus away from the ocean

"Goddammit Bev, you almost DIED" Allie yelled

"I died when she was taken away" Beverly mumbled

"I... Okay that's just depressing" Adam laughed

"I'm sorry, I have to" Josie snickered

"Whatever" Beverly mumbled

Elena sighed and glared at two idiots that laughed, they immediately went silent and mumbled a sorry, avoiding eye contact with everyone else.

The rain continued to pour onto their bodies, drenching anything dry and ruining it. Their bodies were now soak and water dripped down their eyelids, blurring their vision but no one moved.

Allie was the first to join Beverly on the ground, the girl sat close to her cousin, pulling her knees to her chest and placing her focus on the ocean with the storm still coming heavy

The rest of the group glanced at each other and nodded, almost having a mental conversation with each other.

They walked over to the two girls and took a seat on the soaked sand, bringing their knees to their chest and focusing on the ocean too.

They knew they couldn't get Beverly to go back into the house without a fight, a fight they couldn't win. But there was no chance in hell they were going to leave her out there alone.

Beverly finally showed her first sign of emotion for the entire week, a smile appeared on her lips as she glanced at her friends who stared off to the horizon.

In times like these, Beverly was happy to have such supportive friends. It wasn't just a simple gesture, they were all sitting out in the ocean during a storm, risking their lives. There was no way she could ever pay them back, but she was lucky to have them
