"No, Nathaniel, I'm not going to say it again," Marinette groaned, gripping her soda can as she was about to let it fizz up.

Nathaniel pleaded but he immediately stopped after feeling eyes glare at him, giving him a bad feeling about going home. The city knew who's eyes they were, Cat Noir's, the police couldn't stop him from draining people's blood.

"You know what? I've been dared to do this, my real feelings are for Marc but Kim told me to confess, I kept telling him no but I didn't want him to call me a chicken," Nathaniel explains, throwing his scarf over his shoulder.

"So, you want to prove to Kim you're not a chicken, so you did it anyway? That's still showing you're a coward, no offense," Marinette said, raising her eyebrow before Nathaniel left out her apartment into the cold temperatures outside.

"See you soon Marinette," Nathaniel said, closing the door as the bell rang.

"Okay, see you soon? I wonder what's going on with everyone lately?" Marinette asked, placing a tray on the counter.

A few minutes later, Marinette became very uncomfortable as she felt green eyes staring at the back of her head. She turned around, but they disappeared and when she walked upstairs, a wave of uncomfortableness flood the atmosphere of her home as soon as she went to her bedroom.

"Who's there? Show yourself or I'll call the police!" She pulled out her phone but a hand grabbed her hand from calling the police.

"Please don't, princess. I'm not here to hurt you or anything, please let me stay for a bit," the voice spoke to her as she shivered.

"What is your name, Sir? I got a knife and I'm not afraid to use it!" Marinette said, holding a knife in her hands as she threw it near the person's ear.

"Shit. Marinette, it's me remember? I was your bestie during both elementary, middle, and high school," the voice spoke but Marinette couldn't figure out who it was.

"Luka, if this is another prank of yours, I won't hesitate to ask you to leave or I'll file a restraining order," Marinette said, gritting her teeth.

"That's NOT my name!" The man's voice spoke, Marinette immediately realized that this wasn't Luka.

"W-Who are you?" Marinette blushed heavily and her heart raced as she stumbled and almost fell over in fear of who was in her bedroom.

"I'll leave that up to you to figure out,"  the voice spoke as she shivered, only this time it was the good kind of shivers that went down her spine.

"Princess don't be frightened. I can hear your heart rate increase, even though I'm not near you," the man stepped closer, his face wasn't shown since it was mostly dark in her room.

"How are you so sure about that? You can smell my blood, can you?" Marinette asked, climbing up on her bed mattress.

"Yes, I can but I can't drink yours because of special reasons. My name is Cat Noir, you've heard of me, have you?" Cat Noir asked, sniffing around her room to make sure no one was around.

Marinette shook her head, she wasn't entirely lying because no one told her about Cat Noir, but only mentioned his name. She couldn't help but get more embarrassed since she lives alone after her parents retired their business a long time ago.

"You seem honest with your answer. You're really beautiful, but I have an offer to make," Cat Noir smirked, climbing up onto her mattress but he had no bad intentions.

Marinette took notice of him hesitant movements before sitting next to her, her heart was pounding as soon as she felt his nose against her. She rested her hand gently on his chest to find no pulse, it shocked her as his hand gripped her wrist as he rubbed her palm to feel her pulse.

"Go ahead, vampire boy," Marinette sarcastically retorted, rolling her eyes.

"I want you to live with me but hear me out," Cat Noir pleaded, getting on his knees as she looks at him while he gave her the puppy dog eyes.

"I'll hear you out but no naughty or cheeky ideas. You might as well think this through before answering," Marinette said, placing her hand on her pillow before resting the other on her lap while sitting up.

Marinette took a few moments to figure out what happened as she mentally cursed herself. She blushed heavily while her reflex kicked in while her hand slapped him in the face.

"Wait, how do you know my name?" Marinette thought about what he said, but she couldn't remember at all except thing.

"In school, you often called me Chat or Kitty. Now, you don't remember me because you lost your memory due to an accident you were involved in," Cat Noir said, shrugging his shoulders.

"I do remember I was in an accident, but losing my memory, that's something I don't know about," Marinette mumbled to herself, Cat Noir left after making sure no one was there.

Marinette fell asleep, her dreams were filled with memories of her and him as she couldn't help but have nightmares of the accident she was involved in:

"Chat, please wake up! Oh no," Marinette cried before getting run over by a van, her vision went blank after she woke up in a hospital bed.

"Marinette, promise me you'll remember who I am," Cat Noir said, leaving the room as he was limping.

"Chat, don't leave!" Marinette screamed in her sleep.

A few months later:

"Chat, don't die on me!" Marinette cried, placing her hands on his chest, applying pressure on his side before it was too late.

Beeping sounded louder as Marinette left in tears, it was the last she saw of him.

The only question on her mind was:

If he was Cat Noir, the same person a long time ago, then how is he alive?
