Chapter 16

It Was Getting Better Until...

A few weeks pasted since the day Jungkook and Taehyung became a couple. Taehyung was over the moon because his heart was always racing around Jungkook. He just cared for the younger so much. Jungkook tried to understand how a relationship worked. He listened to everything Taehyung told him about it and tried to change his behaviour. But Taehyung understood that it might take a while and was very patient with Jungkook. There was never a moment where he made Jungkook feel like what he was doing was wrong or that the boy was wrong himself, that he was useless. Because he wasn't. He was everything to Taehyung. Everything Jungkook used to feel with Joon was slowly fading away with Taehyung. Jungkook just felt so secure with Taehyung.

Jungkook was in the kitchen cooking dinner while he waited for Taehyung to return from studying with Jimin for university. Jungkook had an apron on and silently worked. The air felt so much more peaceful to when he was with Joon. And he loved it this way.

"My baby looks so hot when he's cooking" A deep voice said in Jungkook's ear at the same time he felt 2 arms wrap around his waist. "I didn't hear you come in" Jungkook said with a smile. "Because I was really quiet" Taehyung replied and gave Jungkook a kiss on his neck. Then another slightly higher. "I missed you, Kookie" Taehyung said in his raspy tone as he planted another big kiss slighter higher than the previous. "I missed you more, Taetae" Jungkook said, loving every second Taehyung's lips touched his body. "Taetae?" Taehyung said and loosened his grip so Jungkook could turn around. Jungkook slid his hands around Taehyung's neck. "Can I call you that?" He asked. Taehyung chuckled. "You can call anything, baby" Taehyung said giving Jungkook a kiss.

While Jungkook closed his eyes enjoying the sweet moment of happiness he forgot the stove was on...
"Crap, it's almost burnt!"

The two spent time together and Jungkook asked to know about Taehyung's past. The two chatted until it was night. "Jungkook" Taehyung said as they were about to get ready for bed. "Do you...want to come on bed with me?" Taehyung asked since Jungkook was still sleeping on the mattress beside him. Taehyung just thought it would be more comfortable for Jungkook to stay with him than on the floor.

"U-Ummm...." Jungkook mumbled suddenly looking tense as he looked down. "I don't want to do it yet" He said quietly. Taehyung was a bit confused by his reply. "What did you say?" He asked to hear it a bit louder.

"N-Nothing" Jungkook looked out saying in his normal tone. But Taehyung had already got what Jungkook was talking about by now. He sighed and came closer to his boyfriend, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Jungkook I'm not taking about sex" He said flat out. "I mean I think it's not the most comfortable on the mattress for you and you can come on my bed if you want."

"O-Oh..." Jungkook mumbled, looking a little embarrassed. He thought something else because Joon always meant having sex whenever he mentioned to anything similar to going on the bed. And that was often and he never could escape it.

"Jungkook, you know I would never touch you against your will like that" Taehyung said. "Because then that is rape which is a crime. And I don't want to be charged with a criminal offence. But mostly..." Taehyung then gently cupped Jungkook's cheek with his hands. "I don't ever want to ever hurt a precious soul like yours" He said. Even though Taehyung had said and implied several times that he would never hurt Jungkook, he still said it over again making sure the younger understood. Even though Jungkook did he just wasn't used to this freedom completely yet and Taehyung didn't mind repeating things for him to understand. Jungkook nodded. Taehyung then leaned forward to plant a soft little kiss on Jungkook's lips. Jungkook had no idea why he went so crazy for Taehyung kisses all the time. He never knew someone could feel the same magic and excitement with every kiss. And like always he smiled afterwards.

The two got changed and ready to sleep. Taehyung was dressed and sat on his bed while he waited for Jungkook to finish from the bathroom. The light was switched off with only the lamp giving brightness. When Jungkook came out of the bathroom he found Taehyung waiting and couldn't help but feel shy. Taehyung patted the space next to him and Jungkook went over to the other side of the bed and crawled in. Taehyung smiled and switched off the lamp and got under the covers followed by Jungkook.

"Come here" Taehyung whispered and laid his arm out for Jungkook to roll into. Jungkook always knew by the gentle way Taehyung spoke he had good intentions for everything he did. So he scooted over and snuggled right into Taehyung's chest. Taehyung wrapped his arms his boyfriend, making sure he warm in the blankets too. "Good night Kookie" Taehyung said and gave Jungkook a light kiss on his forehead. "Good night Tae" Jungkook replied.

"Hey, where's my kiss?" Taehyung pouted through the darkness which Jungkook could make out. Jungkook giggled and leaned to kiss Taehyung's lips. Taehyung was expecting a kiss on his cheek or something because Jungkook never kissed him first properly. So he was taken by surprise when he felt his boyfriend's lips touch his. As soon as Jungkook's leaned, he couldn't help but let out the widest smile.

The next morning, Taehyung left early to go to university. Jungkook would start going back to work at the cafe now that he's mostly recovered from everything. The two both had shifts after Taehyung's uni ended. And Taehyung also promised to start helping Jungkook enrol into a University or tafe in the evening.

So Jungkook spent the day at home yet again. In the first few weeks he never walked out of the house. He was still extremely insecure about absolutely everything. But now he was getting more comfortable to life and went for a walk everyday. Sometimes he would stay outside at the park and just relax or go to the convenient store to get some snacks.

After lunch today, Taehyung texted him saying that he'll come a little late to his shift so Jungkook should walk to cafe and meet him there. Jungkook was fine with that. He decided to go outside again to kill some time with his phone in the pocket of his jacket.

Jungkook was strolling along some streets and thought to go a bit further this time and explore a little more of the neighbourhood which he didn't completely know yet. With his hands resting his pockets he simply enjoyed the air of being outside. Something which he didn't get to do enough of until he was with Taehyung. And suddenly absolutely everything seemed so much more peaceful to Jungkook.

On the way Jungkook bumped into a guy and before he would walk off Jungkook quickly asked for directions back to his house cause he didn't really remember which way he came.

"You want me to come with you? I'm going in that direction anyway" The guy asked and Jungkook shrugged thinking why not. The 2 started walking along the footpath together. Jungkook asked his name and the guy replied "Jae." They both had a little conversation while Jungkook followed Jae's directions.

Until Jae lead him to some narrow alley. It looked really old as nothing and no one was there. "Umm, I don't think is the where I came from Jae" Jungkook asked getting uncertain. He certainly knew he didn't come through that. "It's just a short cut" Jae said and started walking in but Jungkook didn't move.

"No thanks, I think I'll find my own way now" He said politely rejecting. He knew from movies and books and news what stuff happened those kind of places. But it was late afternoon so still daylight and usually those things happened at night. But still he was uncomfortable.

"Just come on" Jae said a little harsher and grabbed Jungkook'a wrist before he would react and roughly tugged him deeper inside. "No, Jae. Stop. I want to leave" Jungkook said slightly afraid. But Jae was stronger and shoved Jungkook through more and more alleys until no one could really him if he shouted, unless he shouted extremely loud and someone was nearby. Not very likely...

"I found one" Jae said and roughly pushed Jungkook in front of him making the scared boy stumble forward. Jungkook looked up to see 2 other men who obviously were drunk as they started to surround him.

This is bad....
