After the doctors left Katy and Maisie storm into the room. Katy grips my shoulders and shakes me screaming, "What the fuck Kelsey! Why would you even?" Maisie grabbed Katy dragging her to the other end of the room. Maisie sighs and apologises while forcing Katy out of the room into the long eerie corridor. This is all I can take and I break into tears yet again... Maisie reapers at the end of the bed, slowly walking towards the chair to my left. "Hi" , she says awkwardly. Raising my head I reply with a pathetic attempt of a greeting. Maisie's soft brown eyes jump from object to object in a nervous fashion. Responding she blurts, "I'm so sorry I wasn't here for you and what you were going through. I was blind. Forgive me." And from there it turned into a panicky rush if words. I inhale and whimper, "It isn't your fault. Nobody knew. You couldn't have changed anything." She gasps as though my words stabbed her. Her eyes wander to the floor as a tear streams down my face.
