That is what you said
But it put me off
I hope I misread
All the pain you went through
Understandably it made you hate
It was too much, nothing you can do
Made you lose all of your faith

It made me realise something real
It was too much, broke me in two
Unconditional love I desire to feel
Do not know why we met
Maybe it was fate
Or to teach you to love
Rather than to hate
Perhaps it is destiny
For hate and love to part
