Chapter 47

Treys POV
I went into the bedroom with kehlani's dad cause he said that he wanted to talk to me.

"So what's up pops, you good?" I asked sitting on the bed
"I just want to say thank you son. Thank you for saving us and looking out for my family, if y'all wouldn't have came today, I don't know what I would've did if something would've happened to my kid and wife" mr Johnson said shaking his head
"You don't have to think me pops, you did enough thanking me. Anything for y'all " I said
"I know I just want you to know we appreciate you" mr Johnson said
"But there is one thing" I said
"What? " mr Johnson asked
"I didn't shoot rico and neither did the boys" I said
"Then who?" Mr Johnson asked
"Your daughter Kehlani " I said smiling
"What? How? When? " mr Johnson asked surprised
"When we broke the front door down, I told everybody to come in. Everybody came in except Kehlani. Kehlani stayed behind the door on the side, she seen rico coming downstairs so she waited. When rico was talking Kehlani snuck up behind him and shot him right in the head when he didn't tell her where you guys were" I said explaining to mr Johnson
"Wow, my daughter? I would never expect my daughter to shoot somebody" mr Johnson said
"I didn't either, I never thought she had it in her" I said laughing
"You know what they say, never judge a book by its cover" mr Johnson said
"You right pops" I said laughing
"But thank you son, we really appreciate it" mr Johnson said standing up
"Now if you don't mind, I'm going to go shower and pee". mr Johnson said laughing
"Go ahead pops, get comfortable. Can you tell Kehlani to come here for a second, I want to talk to her" I said
"Yeah I will" mr Johnson said heading out.

About 5mins later Kehlani came in.

"A little birdie told me that you wanted to see me" she said poking me and sitting down laughing
"Yeah I did" I said
"What's wrong? " she asked
"Nothing, I'm proud of you, real proud. " I said smiling at her
"Are we talking about me shooting rico again" she said sighing
"Yeah we are" I said laughing
"Well like I told qua, I'll do anything for family. If it was the other way around I'll do the same for all of you."she said
"I know, I appreciate. I didn't even know you stayed behind, I thought you were behind me like you were before we walked in" I said
"I seen rico coming downstairs after you guys had knocked everything over so I snuck up behind him" she said
"Well you did a good thing babygirl and I'm proud" I said
"Thank you." She said smiling
"I want to ask you a question and you don't have to give me an answer now, cause I know it's soon. But  I know that's what I'm ready to do" I said looking at her
"Okay.." she said
"Look, I know we haven't known each other a long time and I know we haven't really talked long either. But I'm ready to make you my girlfriend, I been wanted to make u my girlfriend since I met you. But I knew you wanted to take it slow so I went along with it. But now I'm ready to say it and mean it. I love you a lot Kehlani, I'm glad I met you that day at the club. You changed me a lot. You made me actually think about others feelings instead of worrying about my own. So baby, I'm ready to take this next step in the relationship. Will you be my girlfriend" I asked

She looked at me for a minute. Then smiled. I knew my answer right then and there.

"Of course I'll be your girlfriend Trey" she said smiling at me
"Good, cause if you said no, I would've kept asking" I said
"I knew you would" she said laughing

I stared into Kehlani's eyes until she kissed me. We kissed for about 5mins but I stopped.

"Wait, wait" I said
"What" she said
"I'm not ready to have sex with you yet, it will be your first time and I want it to be special " I said sitting back up
"Wow, never heard of somebody who would turn away from sex" she said walking away
"Hey hey, I ain't running away from nothing. it's your first time. I don't want to just take it, I want to actually wait until I know when u ready. I don't want to just have sex with you Kehlani. I want to make love to you" I said
"Yeah your right, I'm sorry" she said sighing
"You don't got to be sorry, I know how u feeling right now, your emotions everywhere. But I don't want to rush nothing with you ight? When the time is right we will do it" I said looking her in the eyes.
"Okay" she said
"I promise" I said kissing her
"Okay" she said smiling
"Besides, who wouldn't want a piece of this" I said flexing
"Boy bye" she said laughing
"I love you though" I said laughing
"I love you too baby" she said
"Ima go take a shower and you can go figure out what we gone eat" I said going into the bathroom
"Okay, I'll ask everybody " she said
"Ight ma" I said

I went into the bathroom and thought about what I just did. I just asked Kehlani Johnson to be my girlfriend. I had to tell my mama and besides I haven't even called in checked up on her. Might as well invite her over to meet everybody. I looked for my mamas number in my phone and pushed it.

*Ring*
"Boy, I've been worried sick about you, you haven't called me in days " my mama said screaming into the phone
"I know ma I'm sorry. I was.. look I'll explain everything just come over to this address I'm about to send you at this time" I said
"Okay and your fathers home" she said

My father. Haven't heard from him in months. Matter fact a year.

"Yeah, tell him to come to" I said
"Okay, and boy you better explain every thing " she said
"Okay ma" I said hanging up

My dad home. I swear this nigga better not start no shit with me. He already missed out a part of my life.
