Parasite

No matter where you run it pulls you back,
It doesn't have to chase you.
You already carry it around like a backpack,
It makes you suffer every single day like an incurable flu.

You can't escape from yourself,
It's inside you.
You can't lose yourself,
Everything will turn blue.

It's chomping you down,
like it owns you.
Don't let it make you drown,
'cause the hopes left of saving you are few.

You don't have to be an aloof,
It can't stop you from dreaming to achieve your goal.
Fight back like a lone wolf,
Survive being a tormented soul.

And there it is; the mocking parasite,
Gave you a smirk from the mirror.
Before it could finish you in one bite,
Wipe it out from your life and career.
