Third Wheel

"Did your boyfriend ever comfort you?" I was annoyed that his boyfriend flaked on him.

"Hmm he did but it wasn't like hmm...," he stopped.

"Like how I'm holding you?" I caressed his arm as I rested my cheek on top of his head.

"Yeah," he said softly.

I pulled him closer to me and held him tighter. He felt so good on top of me. I could feel his lean muscles through his shirt and his warm body rubbing against mine. I could feel his hot breath warm my chest as his fingers dug into my skin.

I lifted my hand and glanced at my watch. It was still an early night and I had an idea. "Hey want to go to the movies as hmm friends?" I had to throw that "friends" part. I didn't want him to feel more guilty than he should.

He chuckled and lifted his face. Our eyes met as he smirked. My eyes traveled down to his pink plump lips. He bit his bottom lip and that drove me crazy but I held myself not to kiss him.

"Yeah let's go," he interrupted my thoughts as he pulled off me. He stood in front of me as he put his hand over his mouth and snickered.

"What's so funny!" I asked.

"Hmm your buddy has woken up," he pointed down at my boner as I quickly put my hands over my bulge.

He couldn't stop laughing as my cheeks burned but I'm glad I could see a smile on his face. I got up and lifted him over my shoulder. "Ohh yeah, you want to laugh at me," I spun him around as he laughed.

"Stop! Put me down! I'm going to throw up on you if you don't," I stopped immediately as I put him down gently. He swerved side to side as I held him. He sweetly smiled at me and planted a kiss on my cheek.

"What was that for?" I beamed a small smile at him.

"Thanks for cheering me up. I know I can get all emo and most people just ignore me but you didn't so thanks for that," I squeezed his cheeks and planted a kiss on his cheek as well.

"Alright little man, let's go catch a late movie. I'm treating you ok, just think of it as a friend date," he nodded as we both went to our rooms and got ready.

I waited for Espian to finish getting ready when I heard a gentle knock on the door. I opened it and Jayden stood there. What does this dude want? I need to behave. He did help me but I know he's here for Espian.

"Good evening Troy is Espian around?" Jealousy took over as he said Espian's name.

"Hey! Jayden! What's up?!" Espian came behind me and hugged Jayden. What are they boyfriends now? Espian better not invite him.

"I just wanted to see if you had plans tonight?" He glanced at Espian as I saw him eyeing me through his peripheral view.

"Hmm well Troy asked me to the movies but you can come if you want," I refrained myself from rolling my eyes as I faked a smile at Jayden.

"I don't want to intervene," he glanced at me to see what I would say. Great, the guilt trip.

"It's cool man, the more the merrier," I hated myself for saying that but Espian and I are just friends, right?

"Sweet," Espian said excitedly as I wanted to cancel this so-called date.

"Alright let's go," I grabbed my jacket that was hanging by the door as we all headed to my car.

We got to the movies and I paid for the tickets. Espian wanted to watch an action movie, which surprised me because I thought he would enjoy watching a fantasy movie.

We headed into the theater and surprisingly Jayden bought the refreshments and popcorn. I added something sweets for Espian. He smiled at me as we looked for our designated auditorium. We made our way inside and found empty seats in the middle. I made Jayden walk in first, which I saw he didn't like but I was going to seat in between both of them. I know Jayden likes Espian so I guess I'm being a dick but I'm protecting little dude from fuckers like him.

I spent most of the movie trying not to grab Espian's hand but he was into the movie so I guess it didn't matter what I thought. Jayden kept sneaking glances at me to see if I was holding his hand. I couldn't help but smile.

Jayden got up. "I'm going to the restroom," I moved my legs to the side as he made his way out the auditorium.

Yes! I looked at Espian as a sweet smile formed on his lips. Why was little dude making me feel all warm inside? Was it his innocence that captivated me or the fact that I can't have him?

He offered me his sweet candy as I nodded. He took one out and placed it in my mouth. He smiled as he went back to watching the movie. My hand slowly moved to his. When Jayden came back, this time I did roll my eyes. He sat down as a smirk formed on his face. This fucker knows what he's doing.

I didn't pay attention to one single part of the movie but I'm glad it's over. I was annoyed and I just wanted to get back to the dorms.

The car ride was silent, well I was silent. I didn't say much when Espian tried to talk to me so he kept talking to Jayden on how he liked the special effects and that he can't wait for the sequel. I just wanted to get back so I could get rid of Jayden.

We finally got to the dorms and Espian was still talking, maybe all candy he ate has him all wired.

"Well, thanks for the invite. I should probably head out," Jayden stood by the door as I faked smiled at him and nodded.

"Yeah no problem man," I shook his hand.

"I'll see you tomorrow in the lunch area," Espian said all excited. Jayden nodded at him as he waved goodbye and disappeared going downstairs.

I turned around to open the door when I saw it was cracked open. "What the hell," I pushed the door slowly.

"Did someone break-in?" Espian slowly crept inside as I pulled him back and moved in front of him.

"Close the door. I'll check the rooms, stay in the living room," I checked our rooms and the bathroom, it didn't look like anyone took anything. Maybe we forgot to close it completely.

I returned to the living room and Espian was quietly sitting on the couch. He looked a little drained as his skin was more pale than usual.

"Hey, it's ok. It seems like they didn't take anything," I sat next to him as I put my arms around him and pulled him closer.

"It's just scary to know that someone came in and snoop around," he said as he stuttered.

"Let's go to bed, it's late and we have class tomorrow," he nodded as we got up.

He stood by his door as he glanced at me. "Hmm, can you stay the night with me," his innocent blue eyes captivated me.

"Yeah of course man," he opened his door as we walked in. I locked it as he began to take off his clothes. I quickly turned around and began to take off my shoes. I didn't want him to think I'm a pervert.

I heard him chuckle. "You can turn around now," he stood there in his oversize pajamas. I couldn't help but chuckle. "What's so funny," he asked as he scrunched his face.

"Your pajamas are bigger than you," I held my laughter as he began to laugh. I loved his laugh it was soft and gentle, not exaggerated but a nice tune to my ears.

He crawled into bed and into the warm covers. He opened a space for me as I crawled in with him. He didn't even let me lay down when he hugged my waist and placed his head on my chest.

"Thanks for being a good friend Troy," he said in a soft voice.

"No problem dude," I immediately heard a soft snore as I closed my eyes and held him tighter.
