One week.
Two weeks.
Three weeks.
A month has passed and Chase found himself surrounded by the other pups as he sat a a vet table.
"Chase, you have got to be the stupidest pup ever." Rocky stated.
The police pup only rolled his eyes at Rocky. "It wasn't that bad..." He mumble.
"Chase, you have two fractured paws and a fractured rib! From falling off the slide!"
Chase mocked the mixed breed, but that only made Rocky more irritated.
"So possessive..." No one knew what Chase said after that but it was enough to put Rocky over the edge.
Rocky wrapped his paw around Chase's neck, with his claws out.
"Wanna say that again Shepherd" Rocky said gritting his teeth and letting out a slight growl.
Chase naturally whimpered and submitted to the mixed breed, as he knew what would happen if he didn't.
"No, s-sorry."
Rocky smirked in triumph and let go of the police pup. Chase took this moment of weakness to take his chances and pounce on Rocky. This was a mistake though because even though he successfully pinned Rocky down, it was at the cost of his paws hurting more.
"Idiot" Rocky yelled, muffled by Chase's fur.
Chase, although in pain, laughed in celebration. "Worth it."
The rest of the pups stared at the events unfolding in front of them.
Marshall had a smile on his face, the rest however, they all have confusion streaked across their muzzles. The two pups acted like a married couple.

Chase was released from the vet and told to stay off his paws for at least a week. This led to Chase having to be carried by Ryder. Chase wasn't complaining about that though, no, he was complaining about not being able to go on missions 'til he was fully recovered. Rocky, of course, became annoyed by the police pup's constant whining and the two got into another argument. One that lasted til the both of them was in the lookout and Chase stopped complaining after Rocky threatened him with no more pup treats. That sentence alone shut the German Shepherd up for good.

A pup is seen running past a few guards and out an open window.
"WHO LET THE WINDOW OPEN!" A pup in a lab coat shouted at his guards.
They all whimpered, afraid to anger the pup, but one of the new recruits stepped up. "Sir, you were the one who ordered the windows to be open."
The pup shook his head at his own disappointment. "Damn it."
He then looked around at his guards, "well don't just stand there, retrieve the sample!"
The guards all saluted and ran out into the woods that surrounded the lab, in search of the escaped sample.
"I can't lose this one, not when I'm this close..." He said as he made his way back to the lab.

The Sample stumbled out of the woods and onto a patch of grass. Standing up they shook themselves off and looked at the sign in front of them.
