My name is Mariah I was born in Baton Rouge but moved to Boston do to my mom getting a job that she ended up losing so we had to move back my life is not going so good because when I was 15 I was diagnose with lung cancer Boston did have the right treatment so I had to move with my dad who stays in Baton Rouge I don't like his neighborhood do to the fact that there's a lot of gang violence out here I have one girl best friend out here her name is skylar oh and I'm a senior in high school which start today

"marmar get up you have school" my older cousin Jayden said Jayden runs the streets with my dad so they barley be home

" ight I'm up" I said getting up the thing about lung cancer  is you have to clean your tube out it takes me about 10mins to do that after I was done I got in the shower for about 15 minutes I did My morning routine and put in my black leggings my gray hoodie with my gray and white shoes even though it's hot out side I still wear long sleeve when I'm around people I really don't know or trust because it covers the tube in the middle of my chest I grabbed my book bag and my phone and went down stairs

" hey dad hey Jayden" I said walking in to the kitchen and grabbing my one if my fruit blows and a peach ice tea

" hey marmar me and Jayden bouta leave do you need anything before we go" my dad asked I shook my head and went to go watch sponge bob for about 20min before getting up and leaving I head to pick up sky so I left early

When I pulled up at sky house there was a group of boys out side her yard thank god you can't see in side my car I blow the horn which made all them looked at me 3 min she came to the car door

"Wassup lil sis" the dude that look asian in the eyes said

"Wassup Niggas y'all need a ride to school" she said hell If they bouta get in my car I ain't driving

" bitch Is they getting in you diving because one I don't know this fuckers and two I'm tired Like a bitch and this is a one time thing" I told her

" idgaf I will drive" she said coming to the drover said they all got in the back seat I went in the passenger seat " bitch did you take yo medicine because you grumpy today" she asked

" nawl I didn't take that shit I only take medicine to help with this situation I been going through for about 2 years now fuck I looked like taking medicine for my anger problems" I said mumbling the last part

" what was that last part I couldn't hear" she said

" nun bitch just worry about not wracking my shit" I told her looking at the window they was loud ass hell so I couldn't go to sleep but soon we pulled up at the school I was the first to get out

"Say sky where my other bestie at" I asked my other bestie name is Hayden we became coo because you was one of Jayden friends

"Bitch ion know he be out and about" she said

" sooo y'all gonna talk about me but not look for me what type of friends are you" I heard him say I turned around and saw him I jumped on him
