Ch:5 Driving me home

"Hey Joceyln,". Sal smiled. 

"Hey ,Sal!". I walked into the kitchen.

"Do you want me to hold her for you?"  I asked because his phone was ringing.

"Sure,if you want to.".

Sal was on the phone with Q.

"So are you driving me home,joe?". I asked him.

"Wait ,I'll have to see if Sal can take you home, I got my hands full today"

My eyes widened.

Sal!He'll say no,I bet.

My heart sunk.

"Okay...". I sat back down with the baby on my lap.

A few minutes later I heard joe ask sal if he could take me to my house.

"Sure,No problem.".

He walked over to me.

"C'mon.". 

I got up and unplugged my phone.

And then I got into the car with Sal.

If felt so awkward. I was literally sitting in the same car as the live of my life. 

I smiled at him, "Thank you so much."

"No problem, babe.". He moved a curled part of his hair out if his face. 

My heart just melted.  He called me babe, like in a comforting way, like to be nice.

Why did he have to be older? Like why couldn't he be the son

We got out the car.

As I walked up to my step, I tried opening the door but it was locked.

"Shit, Moms not home."   Well what was I gonna do now,she's probably still shopping or something.

I didn't know sal was waiting to see if I got in the house yet.

"Well, you could wait in my house until your mother gets back.". He offered.

I picked up my bag and walked over to where sal stood, on his porch step.

"Sure, Do you think my mom will know?that I'm here?"

"I'll text her.".

Sal opened his door and we walked inside.

"Shoes off". He took his converse shoes off and put them to the side.

"Riighhhhttt" I giggled.

Sals house smelled so good,and it was very peaceful. 

This was my first real time actually being inside of it.

I sat down at his table in his kitchen, I got on my phone.

Sal took a seat too,his laptop was there.

"You hungry?". He asked

"I want pizza."

"I'll order some."

An hour later the pizza came and we both ate.
