As soon as I walked in my nose was filled with a strong stench of cleaner. Obviously Luke's body was no longer in the household.
I walked back into his old bedroom and threw open every drawer in the room. I didn't expect anything to be in here, considering the police most likely took everything for evidence.
Back when me and Luke first started dating I remember he would put all of his house bills and other sorts of stuff into his safe. Which happened to be in the basement

Luckily I memorized that code, No not because I wanted to steal money from him, but  Incase anything happened.
"Ma'am?"
My whole body jumped as I turned around and faced the police officer.
"This house is restricted, you can't be in here" I gulped, I didn't have a excuse as to what I was doing
"U-Um...I know it's just" fake emotions time
"It's just so hard, seeing my boyfriend pass away. I loved him so much and we shared so many good memories in this house" a tear rolled down my cheek. Fake, obviously. The only times we shared 'good' memories in this house, was when we first started dating. Other then that, he became a alcoholic and fucked up everything.
But there was one exact moment me and Luke had, that I will never forget about

"Loni!" Luke shouted as he closed the front door
"Coming!" I ran down the stairs and immediately engulfed him in my embrace. He's been extremely busy lately, working 15 hour shifts almost every night.
"I have a surprise for you" his smile widened as he stared down at me
"What is it?" I asked, He grabbed my hand and pulled me into the kitchen.
"I know I've been busy these past few weeks but I wanted to get you something to make up for it" he said as he turned around and opened a drawer
"Make up for it? Luke you don't have to make up for anything" I let out a small laugh and crossed my arms. When he faced me a gasp left my mouth
"Are you crazy?!" I kinda yelled
"That was at least a thousand dollars" my eyes were wide as I stared at the necklace. He smiled again and took it out of the box. Clearly ignoring my ongoing ranting about how pricey it was.

He walked behind me and moved some of my hair away from my neck, then putting the silver chain with a small diamond heart around my neck and clipping it in the back
"Do you like it?" He asked as he wrapped his arms around my waist and put his head on my shoulder
"Of course I do Luke" I smiled
"This is my promise, that this relationship will be a forever thing and that I will always be by your side no matter what Loni"

Well that was a lie
Luke didn't keep that promise very long, and I returned the stupid necklace to him the SECOND he treated me like shit.
"I'm very sorry, but you still can't be in here" the police officer stared at me and I nodded
"I understand"
So that plan didn't work out
I needed to find proof that showed Keeth was innocent, He didn't fucking murder Luke. I know for a fact that he committed suicide
But no, let's make Loni's life even MORE stressful.

I drove down to the police station, Keeth was fucking innocent but I didn't know how to prove to them that he didn't do it. I had no files, or papers, or pictures or videos or any kind of evidence.
"Can I see Keeth Lennon?" I asked the receptionist. She looked up at me with the blankest stare and sighed.
Rude
She typed her fingers against the keyboard and raised a eye brow
"He's just been taking in for murder charges, there's no way I'm gonna be able to let you see him" her voice was slow and so fucking annoying
"Look I'm his sister and I really need to talk to him. He's innocent! He didn't commit the murder-"
"Loni" another police officer said as he walked out of his office
He knew my name?
How did he know-
"I'm good friends with your dad, and I notified him but he hasn't picked up any of my calls"
Weird
"You won't be able to see your brother but you can have a phone call"
My eyes widened a bit
"Yes can I please do that?" I'd take any opportunity to talk to him.
The police officer nodded and told me to follow him. He brought me into the office room and gave me the phone that hung up on the wall. I was getting all sorts of looks and stares but I didn't give two shits. Luke was a fucking asshole that framed something on Keeth that he didn't do.
Luckily I was able to go into a little more of a private room
"You will be directed to Inmate 245, from County jail in Clear view, Florida" and then it beeped, and beeped, and beeped again. I just wanted to hear his voice, to know that he was okay
"Come on-"
"Hello?" Keeth said over the other line, he sounded upset for once in his life
"Keeth! Oh my god are you okay?" I asked
"L-Loni I-I didn't do it" his voice was so shaky
"Yes I've smoked weed and done drugs but I didn't fucking kill your ex boyfriend" now he sounded mad, not at me but just in general
"I know you didn't, Luke framed the murder on you to fuck up our life's even more. It's a really long story but I know he committed suicide, I just haven't been able to get that proof yet"
I spoke into the phone
"I don't know what's gonna happen to me Lon, I'll have to spend the rest of my fucking life in this jail cell"
"Keeth calm down, you're going to be okay. I'll figure something out I promise, but in the mean time I need you to stay calm-"

"30 seconds left with inmate 245"

"Shit I don't have much time left but listen to me Keeth. Everything is gonna be okay, you just have to trust me" I said
"I love you Loni" Keeth said
"I love you t-" the operating line cut out, ending the conversation
