Nothing Lasts Forever

All the smile, laughter and color,
Not every good thing lasts forever;
Not every cloud gives a hint of lining;
Not everyday the mighty sky's shining,
With countless scintillating stars
Or the prismatic warmth afar;

Time never remits but devours all,
Seasons come and go,
Leave us with nothing but fall;
Those sardonic dry leaves on streets, mock us,
Saying, "You fool! You're bound to doom,
Just like mere forlorn dust!"

We always try to get things
That are out of our reach;
Don't know for what:
A mere zeal or a deliberate intention to get cut;
But at the end, we must let go of things,
Sometimes to save our souls,
Sometimes to flee;
Or maybe to change things for good,
Even breaking our souls, to be understood..
