It's Vincent's trial today. They said he had to plead not guilty and he'd get out today but I'm still worried they will take him back for longer. It's in the late afternoon so I've been stressed all day.

It's been so strange to sleep in our bed alone. I keep waking up and feeling around in the bed for him then getting upset when I realise he isn't here. We've all missed him in the mansion, it doesn't feel the same without him bossing people around or joking with Luca.

I don't know how he will be when he gets home. After being raped by a guard I've noticed he seems more closed off when I go to visit. He wouldn't tell me much about what was going on inside and he seemed to be putting on fake smiles.

Right now I'm putting a suit on so I can look nice for the trail. I put a tie on and look at myself in the mirror for a moment, taking a deep breath to get ready to see my boyfriend properly. Marcus, Nathan, and Cole are coming with me and we're going in the same car so I check the time and go outside to wait for Marcus' car. Vinny's cousins are driving separately to me so I say goodbye to them before I go out.

Marcus' car pulls up and I get in the back seat with Cole who's wearing a nice suit too.

"Hey Damian, are you excited?" Cole says and I nod. "You don't look excited."

"I'm just nervous. What if he doesn't get out? What if he's changed?"

"Everyone is confident he's going to get out today. And you've seen him enough to know he hasn't changed," Cole says and I sigh.

"I know, I just really want him back," I say and Cole holds my hand.

"It'll be okay, we'll get him back soon," he says and I smile.

We all stay quiet on the drive to the court because we're all a little nervous. I keep thinking about what I'll say to Vinny when I see him but I don't even know.

The car stops in the car park outside and I get out with Cole. We go inside and are told which courtroom to go in and we sit down on the wooden benches with Vinny's family.

It takes a while for the court to start and when it does they walk Vinny in. He has no new bruises thankfully and he smiles at me as he sits down. I force a smile back as I get butterflies in my stomach. It finally gets to the part where Vinny pleads and my breath catches as I watch him stand up in front of the judge.

"Vincent Romano, how do you plead?" The judge asks.

"Not guilty," he answers confidently and I let out a sigh of relief. They take him back out and the judge gives a fake date for the next trial. We all stand up and go wait at the door where they'll let Vinny out of. My nerves skyrocket as I start to think about what I'll do when I see him. Do I hug him? Do I kiss him?

"Calm down," Marcus says to me. "It'll be fine."

"What do I say?" I ask as I look at him.

"Just tell him you missed him," Marcus says and I nod.

The door opens and an officer walks out with Vinny behind him holding a plastic bag with some stuff in.
