Chapter 54: Three Letters

        It was a normal day at Cherished Moments School and oh! Today is Monday. Tapos na ang araw ng pagsasaya (and by that I mean, PROM) kaya heto’t ibinabalik na ng mga guro ang mga exam papers ng mga estudyante. Oho, tapos na po ang kanilang exams. Noong first week ng February pa po. ‘di kayo na-informed nuh? Ako rin. XD HAHA.

         After Math, Literature naman ang sumunod. Matapos ibalik ni Mr. Velasco ang kanilang mga exam papers, nirecheck na muna nila ‘yun tapos sinabi na ni Mr. Velasco ang gagawin nila sa remaining days sa subject na iyon.

Mr. Velasco: Okay, class. So for the remaining meetings, we’re going to have a quiz bee that’s going to happen in the gymnasium. Same groupings or do you want to change –

Virgins: Nooooooo!

Mr. Velasco: so same groupings. The quiz bee will start at exactly 6:30. If one of your group mates is late, then your group will have corresponding deductions depending on the number of members that are late. If a member is absent, then your group will have a deduction of 5 points.

Some of the Virgins: Ouch!

                                   : Grabeeeee!

Mr. Velasco: Yes. You better sleep early and set your alarms. I’m expecting all fourth year students to assemble in the gym before 6:30 so we can start early. Any questions?

Joe: Sir, ano po—

Mr. Velasco: English please.

Joe: Oh. *British accent* I’m sorry, Mr. Velasco. What’s the coverage of the –

Mr. Velasco: The coverage will be The Merchant of Venice. We’ll start tomorrow by the way. Be ready. Recall or reread the first two-three chapters of the book. Any more questions?

Virgins: None, Sir!

Mr. Velasco: Okay. Good bye, Children!

Virgins: Good bye and thank you, Mr. Velasco!

Mr. Velasco: Thank you also and behave the whole?

Virgins: Daaaay! :D

Mr. Velasco: Sit down. *walks out of the room*

                Nagsiusap usap na muna ‘yung ibang groups while waiting for the next teacher. Hinati hati na nila ‘yung topics na rereviewhin nila. Maya-maya pa’y dumating na si Mr. Gomez, ang kanilang Health at PE teacher.

                Diniscuss ni Mr. Gomez ang tungkol sa “abuse,” “harassment,” at iba pa. Saglit lang ang pagdiscuss ni Sir dahil magkakaroon daw ng activity after discussion kaya naman grinupo na sila. Magkakaroon daw ng role playing. Ipapakita ng apat na group ang iba’t ibang klase ng harassment at kung ano-ano pang nadiscuss sa iba’t ibang lugar gaya office and the like.

                Ang napunta sa grupo nila Kate ay office. Gabi na raw noon at inaayos na ni Kate ang kanyang mga kagamitan ng palihim na pumasok ang boss niya sa kanyang room. Inilagay ng boss niya ang kanyang dalawang kamay sa may table kaya naman parang nacorner si Kate. Hindi siya makaalis. Slowly na tinatanggal ng kanyang boss ang mga butones nito kaya naman ginamit ni Kate ang mga hawak nitong mga papeles na panghampas sa kanyang boss atsaka tumakbo papalabas ng nasabing kwarto.

                Matapos magperform ng lahat ng grupo, umalis na si Mr. Gomez at sumunod naman si Mrs. Abrigo. May bagong topic nanaman sa Pre-Calculus. Paubos na rin ‘yung hand-out na punong puno ng mga sasagutan. After 55 minutes, dinismiss na sila pero bago pa man sila palabasin ng classroom, nagtawag si Mrs. Abrigo ng estudyante at pinapunta ito sa harap para magdasal. Ang napili ni Mrs. Abrigo ay walang iba kundi si Anne Lucero. After niyang magdasal, luminya na sila sa labas at naglunch.
