Tanjiro Kamado x Reader

Second Person POV

It was no secret both (Y/n) and Tanjiro were very bad at hiding their feelings, it was almost like they were the only ones who were unconscious of the fact that the two of them at harbored strong feelings for each other.

It was almost unbearable to watch, having two people blush and shy away from each other was just cringe to the people who watched. It was almost like a really bad romance movie. 

As (Y/n) and Tanjiro trained side my side trying to see who could hit the other person first. A group of three watched them. Kyojuro, Kanao, and Zenitsu all stood behind a wall watching the two love birds apologies when each one of you actually landed a hit on each other. 

"Why does he get to spend time with (Y/n)? It's not fair," a certain scardy cat questioned as jealousy was the only thing present on his face. 

As Kyojuro explained why they were hiding behind the wall he told the two teenagers that when he was Tanjiro he would become rather distracted, he had been zoning about more and glancing in your direction most of the time. 

He was trying to find a resolution for this because if this kept on happening he wouldn't get much training done. 

"I pose a suggestion, it is obvious Tanjiro is in love with (Y/n), if we want him to finally confess his feeling for her then we'll have to think of some sort of plan," the flame pillar explained. 

Thinking of a few ideas the group of three settled on what seemed to be the easiest one, the plan was named: Get Tanjiro jealous. 

Of course, Zenitsu was going to be the one to try and flirt with you because he stated it was going to be his last chance for you to decided to marry him and not become Tanjiro's lover. He wanted with all his heart to please you within the time he spent with you so when the plan was going to be set in action he was going to put his flirting face on. 

Rengoku's plan was to be set when the two of you parted ways as you exchanged your final good byes. When that was done Zenitsu was going to be extra loud ensuring whoever was within an 80-meter radius could hear him. 

As he processed to do so Tanjiro unconsciously clenched his fist. He knew this feeling inside of him was jealousy but he just didn't want to believe it. It's not like you were his, you were your own person, you could do whatever you liked. If you wanted to go ahead and be with Zenitsu then so be it. He couldn't control you, but yet he couldn't stop himself from feeling this way. 

As much as he would have liked to go over there and pull Zenistu off your arm he stopped when he saw you giggle at his reaction towards your statement. It's not like you loved Zenitsu though, right? He couldn't tell for certain but just seeing you with him made him want to try and become someone you could fall in love with. Unknown to him, him being himself was exactly how you fell for him. 

You had always told yourself if you were to go into a dictionary and search up the word 'kind' a picture of him would be there. That's how much you believed in his kindness, his overall caring personality in your opinion could set anyones heart on fire, whether it be just talking or a quick glance in their direction. 

When you and Zenitsu finally left the area Tanjiro sighed, he thought it was so wrong to fall in love with someone at a time like this, love wasn't something that he normally thought about so why was his heart so hellbent on trying to become your significant other?

As the summer sun rose to create a beautiful scene from outside of one of the windows you were looking out of you couldn't help but create random scenarios where you and Tanjiro stood on a beautiful hill and as you proclaimed your love for him. You would imagine him cutting you off with a kiss indicating the fact that he had reciprocated your feelings.

The only thing stopping you from literally drooling on your nightgown was the endless screaming of Zenitsu. 

"(Y/N)!!" He said with the biggest smile on his face. 

Opening the door to the room he got down and sat next to you. As he looked towards you form he began a small conversation. It was nothing out of the ordinary, it was a conversation that most people would start up when talking to someone.

"Nice weather eh?" He said trying to look as suave as he could.

You had to admit Zenitsu was rather cute, this was only when he wasn't crying or whining. As you examine him you couldn't help but giggle telling him that whatever he was trying to do he was failing at it. 

When about 20 minutes had passed Zenitsu had made so many funny jokes you couldn't help but laugh. If you were being honest what he was saying wasn't even funny, the funny part how the joke came out to be, in other words, you weren't laughing with him, you were laughing at him. 

As the laughter in the room became louder Tanjiro became more and more infuriated. He couldn't help but keep telling himself that it wouldn't be fair for you to not talk to boys and enjoy their company but when he heard you laugh even louder and say, 'Zenitsu, you're so funny' he snapped and opened the door to your room taking Zenitsu by the arm and throwing him out. 

"(Y/N), I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU!" He said as loudly as he possibly could trying to make sure everyone knew about his feelings in hopes they stay back if you felt the same way about him. 

As a hot blush made its way up to your cheeks you couldn't help but squeal like a fangirl reacting to their favorite character in a television show. Not even giving Tanjiro a proper answer you placed your warm hand on his cheek before pulling him into a long kiss. 

"What made you tell me this all of a sudden?" You giggled slightly.

"I- um, I got really jealous," he admitted twiddling with his fingers. 

It was things like this that really made you fall for him, he was so honest with himself and you loved that. You loved the boy named Tanjiro Kamado.
