It was a lonely winter night in Seoul. The cold air prompted the folk to stay at home, huddled among each other. The streets were empty except for a handful of people wandering around. Some

of them invested in their work, some lost in their own world. Jaemin was one of them.

At the age of 19, freshly out from school, Na Jaemin had no plans for joining college.

Not  because he was a bad student without good grades but because he believed that he had had enough of that generic routine. It was way too robotic for him. Na Jaemin was outgoing when he had to be, enjoyed partying and going out, was well-known in school but preferred to have a close group of people around him than have connections with tons of people. He was friendly by nature, but most people mistook this trait of his as flirting. This landed him in lots of surprising situations.

Jaemin's parents took his decision of not joining college in an unexpected way. They didn't seem shocked, like most parents would be and kept their composure. Jaemin did not expect them to be fine with this choice and was a bit taken aback. However, they were strict and firm when they told Jaemin to find a job within one month or else they would kick him out of their house. They did not want to do that, but felt forced to take action as parents.

There was one week until the deadline was left. He had applied for many places and given out lots of interviews, but to no avail. He was still jobless after trying that hard. At first, Jaemin sought after an official job, but because he faced rejection he was desperate for any job. He just was that helpless.

Jaemin's close friends after hearing his decision  of not joining college were not supportive at all. Even his best friend abandoned him. He told Jaemin that he can not be friends with someone who does not care about their future and with that he abandoned him. Moreover, Jaemin had just been dumped by his ex-boyfriend, because he thought that his 'heart' told him that Jaemin wasn't the one. Now Jaemin, after being deserted by all of his relations and rejected by all, felt devastated. He felt useless and worthless and thought there was no point in trying. Jaemin was done with everything.

Jaemin was fed up. He felt helpless but also deep down inside his heart he did not want to stop trying. He wanted a break, a break from everything and everyone.

Jaemin found himself in a secluded street. He had walked for as long as he could not remember and was too busy dealing with his thoughts to realize where he was going.

Now, helpless and vulnerable, Jaemin found himself taking refugee in a cheap bar.

The entrance of the bar was shabbily decorated, as if the owner had made no efforts in attracting customers. A sign with the words 'welcome' were hung up, but the 'e'

Was nowhere to be found. The bar was dimly lit and sparsely occupied. There was alcohol splattered on thr floor, but no one cared to clean it. The whole place reeked of alcohol.

The few people that were in the club were drunk out of their minds, almost all of them were men in their fifties who sent creepy glances towards Jaemin. Jaemin felt scared but also did not pay much attention to it. Jaemin sat at the end table of the bar, where a bottle of God knows what stood placed. Jaemin did not care, and gulped all of it down in an instant, savoring the bitter taste with delight. He desired for more of this bitter liquid, and just as he was about to go to ask for more he felt a strong weight on his hand. He looked back to see a shady old man clutching his arm tightly.

"What are you doing here alone pretty boy ?", the man asked Jaemin in a flirty, drunked tone.

" Minding my own business", Jaemin replied in a quiet but firm tone and tried to free his hand from the man's but he just gripped Jaemins arm stronger.

" Now, now wouldn't it be fun if we both leave the bar....together. I can show you how to have a really good time, pretty boy.", the man said in a tone which sent goosebumps down Jaemins spine. It scared Jaemin.

" Please leave me alone.", Jaemin pleaded but the man clutched on to him harder and started dragging Jaemin away.

" you're only making it harder on yourself, darling", the man slurred. He kept on dragging Jaemin away. Jaemin wanted to ask for help, but a hand was tightly put tightly on Jaemins mouth. Jaemins eyes quickly searched for someone who was looking that way, but the few people there were too drunk to notice what was happening to Jaemin.

Jaemin was quickly dragged out of bar, no matter how much he tried to resist the man he was too weak to free himself from the man. Jaemin felt doomed. Tears left his eyes. He was too tired to fight back now. Just as Jaemin was about to be thrown into the man's car, he felt a strong arm pulling him the other way.

" Leave him alone.", a deep, hoarse voice replied. Jaemin turned around to see a man with short brown hair which the man had styled back, a pale narrow face with deep eyes and long lashes. The man was tall and had an athletic body. He had a strong gaze and appeared to be in his early to mid twenties. In short, he was really handsome.

" Mind your own business. Can't you see we are busy", the old man said in a drunken tone and tried to pull Jaemin towards him but the handsome man threw him to side and motioned Jaemin to run away. Jaemin and the handsome  quickly sprinted away and ran for quite some time until the handsome man held his arm and halted himself and Jaemin.

" Thank you so much for saving me there. I'm really grateful.", Jaemin replied in soft, out of breath tone.

" No issues. Be sure to be careful from now on.", the handsome man replied in a velvety and mellow tone. He flashed Jaemin a smile, and Jaemin was quick to notice how beautiful his eyes looked when he smiled.

"I'm Jeno, by the way. Do you want me to ḍro-", the handsome man, whose name Jaemin found out was Jeno, was interrupted by a phone call. "Excuse me for a second", Jeno told Jaemin and quickly answered his phone.

" Hey Renjun." Jeno said on the phone. " I'm on forest street right now. No- I forget it. No Renjun, I couldn't find a a babysitter. The ones you recommend all were absent minded and did noṭ seem to fit into my requirements. He is my child after all Renjun, I have to find someone capable of taking care of him after all."

This surprised Jaemin  as  he heard Jeno. He didn't mean to pry, but Jeno jjust was standing too close to him for Jaemin to noṭ hear what he said. But Jaemin was taken aback by what Jeno said. He looked too young to have a kid. But everyone can do their own thing Jaemin thought.

Jaemin also had something else he took from the conversation. Jeno was looking for a babysitter, and Jaemin, for a job. Jaemin debated on whether to ask Jeno about this or not. He did not want to creep Jeno out by asking him this sudden question, but also Jaemin wanted to take the risk as he was really desperate for a job. Just them Jenos phone call ended.

"Hey, as I was saying- Do you want me to drop you off to your house ? And what is your name ?", Jeno inquired.

"My name is Jaemin. And hey, Jeno this may seem too sudden or weird, but can I apply for the babysitter thing you were talking about ? I didn't mean to pry, you just were too close." Jaemin said.

Jaemin couldn't figure out Jeno's expression after he said this. Jeno looked deep in thought. Jaemin was very anxious.

"Okay," Jeno replied with a serious tone. " Meet me at garden cafe at 4:00 PM tomorrow."
