I Believe

Excuse me for a moment, I don't mean to interrupt as you speak,

And I know the conversation is between the two of you and has nothing to do with me,

But please let me step in, only for one minute,

Because when you said you didn't believe, I was offended,

So let me share a few words, you can respond as you feel,

I'm prepared for the worse, but this I won't conceal,

When I sit back and think of my very creation, the fact that I even exist,

I'm perplexed beyond any situation, who would even insist,

On perfecting someone so unique, that there could only be one,

On the first attempt, no repeat, unlike anything ever done,

Life, an ability to live, beyond what we understand,

An experience no-one can give, what ordinary man,

So let me continue to share, respond as you please,

Even if you don't care, this is the reason I believe,

As I look back on my life, many years ago, the testimony for some,

But from recent until now, came a change I couldn't have done,

Everyday walking in unforgiveness, as if I was in favor,

Disobedient in how I was living, my life so unstable,

I trusted in many things, but not until I came on board,

That God revealed to me many things at a price I couldn't afford,

Stagnated because of pressures of the world, how could I even escape,

Fearing that if I harkened to his word, I have to give up what he hates,

But to accept the full knowledge of who Jesus is and of his request,

Came a full surrender forsaking my flesh at it's best,

Who can deliver from strongholds, leaving no ability to retrieve,

Who can remember sin no more, for this I believe,
