Hi guys, thank you for choosing to take time to read this fan fiction. I would like just a few minutes before you go onto reading the actual story as what I'm going to say is extremely important.

This story is a Boku No Hero Academia x Tokyo Ghoul crossover. I would like to fully clarify this before we begin. Just incase some on y'all didn't read the description.

Another thing is that this will be a Genderbend!Kaneki story which means our favourite emo boi Kaneki will be a girl for this story. Uhhh, idk why I did this but I have written too much to go back on this decision now so please put up with it.

Furthermore there will be no set pairing in this fanfic as it is a various x Kaneki but that could change later on if the story gets a lot of comments on who everyone would like.

MENTAL HEALTH

This story revolves heavily around mental health. Especially the disorder known as Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). If any of you don't know what DID is I would recommend doing research on it as it is very interesting and a lot of the stigma around it needs to be fixed.

I would like to recommend that you all watch this YouTube channel called DissociaDID as their entire channel is dedicated to debunking the disorder and providing scientific proof.

In DID alters don't look the same however for this story it will be different. When in the inner world it will show each Kaneki (male or female) looking slightly similar. This is because of the anime/manga which when Kaneki is hallucinating he sees other versions of himself. Hence the reason I chose them to look like this.

I would also like to add that in really life alters do not have 'powers' and are normal people like you and I. However, as this is a literal anime and Kaneki is a ghoul things will play a bit different here.

This fanfic has been written to keep as close as I could to the actual disorder so I don't spread misinformation. I hope this can spread awareness in a way so many people read this and actually go and look into this disorder.

DID is not something to joke about or make fun of. It is a real thing and everyone in a system is human, not some murderer or kidnapper that Hollywood make movies out of. It is not some horror troupe and people actually live with this.

I hope this book can somehow spread awareness in a way that's enjoyable. Please though, don't put everything that is in this book as fact as that is most likely not true. It is a fanfic involving ghouls and quirks.
