It was quiet now. Everyone was here in the Great Hall, huddled together to make small groups. The long house tables were back but no one really sat with their house. Families sat together, couples holding hands, and best friends were whispering, their heads together.

I spied the Weasley's huddled together, the youngest looking distant. I couldn't blame her. She had watched her brother die.

Then, I spotted the Malfoy's huddled together in the shadows, away from prying eyes...although everyone could easily see them.

Professor Mcgonagall stops to hug Potter, which I rolled my eyes at. I couldn't help it. I hold grudges to my grave.

An older man and...

"Oh my god. Is that Oliver Wood?!" I exclaimed, jumping up from my seat.

"What-" Blaise narrowed his eyes.

Nat started laughing at my expression. "He's one of her close friends, Zabini. Chill," she laughed, pushing me towards him.

"What?" I scowled, crossing my arms.

"Go! You missed him!" Nat laughed again, pushing me towards his table.

I beamed before rushing off and tackling Ollie in a hug.

"OLIVER!" I yelled, hugging him.

Oliver had a startled look on his face before laughing. "Lyra!" he exclaimed before swinging me in the air.

I laughed as he set me down. "Were you-"

Oliver quickly turned to me with drooping eyes. "Devin is dead," he said.

I cocked my head. "And how does this affect me?" I asked, pursing my lips.

Ollie gaped at me. "He's your cousin or something!" he said.

"Ohhh! Him!" I acknowledged before turning my half-grin into a grimace. "He's dead?" I asked.

"Yeah," Ollie replied with his Scottish accent.

"Hm. I'm sorry for his family but the problem is that they're all dead. I'm the only Vaillancourt left. Do you know what this means?" I asked excitedly, bouncing on the balls of my feet.

Oliver scrunched up his eyebrows. "Uh..."

"I'm not broke anymore!" I shrieked, catching the attention of half the Great Hall. Some people chuckled, others glared at me(which I gladly returned, by the way).

Ollie chuckled. "Well, you best be going back. Your boyfriend looks like he's about to kill me," he said.

I looked behind my shoulder to see Blaise glaring at Oliver's head. "Yeah. I'll see you soon, okay? Bye!"

I sauntered back over to Blaise and Nat who were looking at me curiously.

I just sat down and leaned against Blaise, spying Draco sitting dejectedly.

"Nat," I nudged.

"What?" she responded, her eyes flitting over to Draco.

I chuckled. "Go. He needs you. Draco's a mess right now," I stated, pushing her.

Nat grinned. "He is, isn't he?" she asked rhetorically before swinging over to Draco and his parents.

I heard them talk about something before Nat rolled her eyes and pulled Draco down to her face level and suddenly kissed him.

I smiled at my best friends coming together. "Remember!" I yelled at them, ruining the moment. "I shipped it before anything could ever happen!"

Nat turned around to me with an annoyed look on her face. "What do you want, Ly?" she demanded, Draco's arm snaking over her waist.

I smirked. "To name your firstborn child!" I yelled back.

"Deal!" Draco called back at me before he pulled Nat out of the Great Hall to who-knows-where to do who-knows-what... Actually, I had a good idea of what they were going to do.

I giggled as I leaned against Blaise. "They make such a good pair," I sighed.

Blaise looked at me with a weird expression on his face.

"Blaise?" I asked, turning around.

But Blaise didn't respond.

Instead, he slid off the bench and gracefully knelt down on one knee, producing a red velvet box from his robe pocket.

My eyes widened and my jaw dropped. Everyone's attention was towards us.

Blaise chuckled lightly before opening the box, producing a silver with a princess cut diamond in the middle, flanked by two sparkling emeralds.

"I know this isn't really the best time and place to do this, Lyra, but I actually couldn't wait longer," Blaise said, smiling at me. "I loved you, I think, from our 4th year and you showed me what real love was. You stuck with me even at my worst and I thank you for that. Lyrana Abella Esmee Faye de Garnien von Montgelas-oh, fuck it!- Will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?" he asked, a rushed edge to his voice near the end.

My face was expressionless. Literally. Thousands of thoughts were rushing in my head before I realized that I hadn't answered to him yet and that the whole Great Hall was silent with anticipation.

Suddenly, I grinned before I launched myself onto Blaise. "Yes!" I shrieked, kissing him. "Oh my fucking god, YES!"

"ARE YOU GUYS FINALLY MARRYING?!" Nat screamed at me as Blaise hugged me tightly, slipping on the ring on my finger. It fit perfectly.

Cheers erupted in the Great Hall again but I couldn't care less.

Hey, when your boyfriend of two years suddenly turns into your fiance after a bloody war, you tend to tune out the rest of the world.

I leaned against his chest. "I love you, Zabini. More than you can ever imagine," I murmured, taking his hand and intertwining it with mine.

Blaise laughed. "I think I love you a little more, Love," he answered, running his hands through my golden locks.

I glared up at him. "Do you really want to argue on this?" I said, raising an eyebrow.

Blaise chuckled. "No. You and I love each other the same," He replied, kissing my head and pulling me onto his lap. "Plus, we have a lifetime to show our love for each other," he said suggestively.

I burst out laughing(more like cackling) at his remark.

Nat rolled her eyes from across the room. "NOW DON'T GO MAKING CHILDREN BEFORE YOU MARRY, LY!" she yelled across the room.

"I could say the same thing about you!" I yelled back before leaning into my boy-no. Finance's touch.

And suddenly, for the first time in my life, I could fully explain what love was.

It was Blaise Zabini.
