Chapter 29-It's okay

I see Dylan at the front. He looks perfect in his tuxedo. Smiling at me with happy tears in his eyes. As I join him at the front.
"You look beautiful," he whispers.
"You too," I whisper back.
The vicar begins the ceremony "Dearly Beloved, we are gathered together here in the sign of God - and in the face of this company - to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony, these two persons present now come to be joined. If any person can show just cause why they may not be joined together - let them speak now or forever hold their peace."

No one says anything, not that I thought they would. But nothing bad has happened yet luckily.

Dylan's does his vow first: "Emma,I have loved you forever. And whatever happens I'll always love you. And I can't believe how lucky I am. There's not much else to say. Except that I love you and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you,"
I feel like crying. But I bite my lip lightly to keep it in as I begin my vow.
"Dylan when we first got together. I was in a dark place,and that haunted me. You held my hand through those times along with others. I cannot tell you how thankful I am for everything you have done for me. And I don't need anything else if I'm with the people I love. Who like you,saved and changed my life for the better,"

The vicar turns to Dylan "Do you Dylan O'Brien take Emma Dawson to be your wife - to live together after God's ordinance - in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love her, comfort her, honour and keep her, in sickness and in health, keep yourself only unto her as long as you both shall live?"
"I will,"
He then turns to me "Do you Emma Dawson take Dylan O'Brien to be your husband -- to live together after God's ordinance - in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love her, comfort her, honour and keep her, in sickness and in health, keep yourself only unto her as long as you both shall live?"
"I will,"
"Can we have the rings,"

Alex who is now out of his wheelchair hands mine to Dylan and Brenda hands Dylan's to me. We exchange them after.

"May these rings be blessed as the symbol of the love that encircles you forever,you may now kiss the bride,"
He moves in closer kisses me softly. Like our first ever kiss we had as boyfriend and girlfriend. Now it's husband and wife.

We're all slowly dancing later. Which beautiful music playing in the background...

Dylan holds out his hand and you take it as he pulls you into his grasp. We just hold each-other,spinning round in continuous circles,when he lifts his arm up and I twirl around it,landing perfectly out.

That's when someone taps me on the shoulder. I turn round to see Brenda.
"Emma come on!"
"What?"
"You're singing,"

After an argument on me performing I stand up in front of everyone,close my eyes and begin to sing..

I know it now-I'm on a roller coaster that only goes up.
And that was never going to change.

And remember. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.
The biggest lesson I've learnt from my story is 'It's okay.' It's okay for me to be kind to myself. It's okay to be wrong. It's okay to get mad. It's okay to be flawed. It's okay to be happy. It's okay to move on.
