5. Isn't That Ironic?

Shizukana's P.O.V

What I saw was something I never expected to see.

The floor was covered with blood. Red Blood.

A man was laying on the floor with a knife sticking out of his neck. I didn't recognize the man but his headband suggests that he's from the Hidden Cloud Village.

I stepped over the body making sure I didn't trail blood. Just a few steps away was my father. He was dead.

He was sprawled on the floor. The position of his body states that he was trying to reach something.

I looked to where he was heading. My mother lay dead on the floor. She had stab wounds on the her abdomen.

I did what any sensible person would do. I screamed.

Me raising my voice was not common. But I heard footsteps rushing into the house.

My mind just went blank when I saw the hollow looks my parents had.

The feeling I felt was guilt. Yes, guilt. I knew I had never been the ideal daughter. The one who would try on pretty pink dresses or spend time with mom gushing about the colour of the ribbon that would suit my hair. I wasn't Daddy's little princess. I didn't play damsel in distress.

No. I was the distant cold daughter they never deserved.

I felt myself being whisked away and hugged. Which was weird. The only people who hugged me were Mom and Dad. Now, some stranger is wrapping their arms around me.

I remember being taken out of the house. Then darkness engulfed me.

Hanako's P.O.V

The three of us pushed the broken door and ran inside.

We were met with a dead body. He had been stabbed in the neck. I looked at Kurenai and she nodded.

She immediately ran out to.get some help. Genma and I rushed inside the living room to find Shizu-chan looking at two bodies on the floor.

Oh dear.

I ran forward and carried her away from the bodies. She didn't seem to care that someone was taking her away. I caught a glimpse of the bodies on the floor. Midori-san and Sozoshi-san.

I took Shizu-chan and left the house. I immediately hugged her and told her that it was alright. But then I noticed that she wasn't responding. She wasn't crying nor was she screaming.

She had a blank look in her eyes as if she was staring off in to the distance.

All of a sudden collapsed. I caught her and carried her. She must have past out from the shock.

Shizukana's P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of silence.

I opened my eyes to meet a white ceiling. Hospital.... Why am I in a hospital?....

Suddenly realization hit me like a truck and I gasped in suprise. Kumo nin..... Blood... Dead.... Mom and Dad.... Knife sticking out......

I snapped my eyes shut trying to forget the images. The door opened and a nurse came rushing in.

Her eyes widened before she  ran back out.

I looked towards the door when 3 people rushed inside.

A doctor and two nurses came in.

The doctor came up to me and asked a few questions like any head aches or pain.

I shook my head to all the questions. They left me alone which led me to some serious thinking.
